I searched but failed as im sure its been said before. what are the odds of starting at step 1 and winning through step 6?
1 in ? -
Yes, I would also like to know this obviously very exact answer.

1/6....stupid questions get stupid answers
but seriously tho it depends on how good u are and how good ur opponents are in the
particular steps u are playing
if they are all spewtards shoving atc pre than ur chance is 1:1
if they all play like DDBeast and ur a decent player I would say 1:XXXX (insert 4 digit number here) -
If everything we're random, and not really accounting for losing a step and not having to start back at 1... The odds would be:
2/9 * 2/9 *1/3 *2/9 *2/9*1/9
.00009032 or .009032%, which is more like 10,000:1
Keep in mind this is if its a complete flip and everyones all in every hand --- and also if you don't move up a step, you go back to step 1.
So after adjusting that there is skill involved, chance of not going back to step 1, and how your skill compares to the average, you can make your own adjustment -- it's definently extremely different for each player. But hopefully here's the X:1 answer you were looking for in randomness. -
if u take rake out of the question and skill out of the question, than its easy to give an answer
anytime u can turn an investment into something with even odds (skill level the same) ur odds are easy to calc.
if u invested $10 and can walk away with $20 its 10/20 = 50%
if its $10 into $40 (could be doubling up twice so .5*.5 or like a 4 way pot where everyone put in 10 so its obv 1/4) u have $10/$40 = 25%
here we can turn $7 into $2000 (no rake) so we get 7/2000 = .35%
now this is to get a step 6 ticket but the step 6s are always diff so just mult by odds of getting seat or wtvr
i think this works using the assumption but i could be wrong -
what are the odds that your IQ is above 75?

this is a really really dumb question...as it completely depends on how good at poker/steps you are.
you take a random retard playing step 1's and they prolly have are a massive longshot, but taking someone that's good at steps, and it prolly wouldn't really be all that difficult
