  2. I don't know how to calculate the ICM here, but to let you know I shoved with ATo. So we would have been flipping. I'm surprised you don't call with 88 there. I would have
  3. Put a custom payout structure into your ICM calculator, it is usually something like .45, .45, .1 from memory for steps?

    Using that:
    <TABLE class=simple cellSpacing=2 cellPadding=3 border=1><TBODY><TR><TD>UTG+1</TD><TD><TD><TD>22.5%, 22+ A2s+ A9o+ K7s+ KJo+ Q8s+ QJo J8s+ JTo T8s+ 98s </TD></TR><TR><TD><TD>UTG+2</TD><TD><TD>7.5%, 77+ ATs+ AJo+ </TD></TR><TR><TD><TD><TD>CO</TD><TD>4.2%, 99+ AQs+ AKo </TD></TR><TR><TD><TD><TD>BU</TD><TD>2.1%, JJ+ AKs </TD></TR><TR><TD><TD><TD>SB</TD><TD>3.5%, TT+ AKs AKo </TD></TR><TR><TD><TD><TD>BB</TD><TD>100.0%, Any two</TD></TR><TR><TD><TD>CO</TD><TD><TD>15.5%, 44+ A5s+ A9o+ KTs+ KJo+ QTs+ </TD></TR><TR><TD><TD><TD>BU</TD><TD>5.9%, 88+ AJs+ AQo+ </TD></TR><TR><TD><TD><TD>SB</TD><TD>10.3%, 55+ A9s+ ATo+ KJs+ </TD></TR><TR><TD><TD><TD>BB</TD><TD>100.0%, Any two</TD></TR><TR><TD><TD>BU</TD><TD><TD>8.7%, 77+ ATs+ ATo+ KQs </TD></TR><TR><TD><TD><TD>SB</TD><TD>3.5%, TT+ AKs AKo </TD></TR><TR><TD><TD><TD>BB</TD><TD>100.0%, Any two</TD></TR><TR><TD><TD>SB</TD><TD><TD>14.0%, 44+ A5s+ A9o+ KTs+ KQo </TD></TR><TR><TD><TD><TD>BB</TD><TD>100.0%, Any two</TD></TR><TR><TD><TD>BB</TD><TD><TD>100.0%, Any two</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
So a theoretical call, but keep in mind that we are a fair way from the money, and ICM isnt always a great model this far out, as well as assuming all players play optimally.
  4. DJKelly, the payouts are different in a Step 3.
First and Second place get a Step 4, while Third - Fifth get a Step 3.
    Buy-in is $82, 1st & 2nd = $215 win, 3rd-5th = $82 win.
    1st 32%
    2nd 32%
    3rd 12%
    4th 12%
    5th 12%
    6th-9th 0%

How different would the above calculations change under this premise?
  5. seems to me that this should be a easy shove, scarletknight's range should be really wide with his stack being 1400 and the 400 bb coming up next hand

still 7 people in, 6 after the bb that is sitting out is eliminated, I dont like to wait around because theirs no guarntee you cash (top 5) although mouch is pretty low, this all considered if you are goin for the win
  6. based on the payout structure I think it could be a fold. It is very doublful that Menace_b will survive and with mouchasse having less than a sb+bb+antes he will have to win a hand to not go out 6th in the next 5 hands. Not to mention the other stacks around 1500. I think you play to make top five then go for the top two. In a turbo stt its a call. Step 3 maybe not.
  7. Just change the payout structure to 215, 215, 82, 82, 82
  8. Anybody have a link to an ICM calculator that allows you to input a custom payout structure?
    Thread Starter
  9. Any read on the villian has he been active ???
  10. Fold. shoving is good, calling is bad.
  11. Here's the Nash Equilibrium for this:

    ICM Nash Calculator Results

    <TABLE class=simple cellSpacing=2 cellPadding=3 border=1><TBODY><TR><TD>UTG+1</TD><TD><TD><TD>12.5%, 44+ A9s+ A5s AJo+ K9s+ KQo QTs+ JTs<<this is what he should be pushing</TD></TR><TR><TD><TD>UTG+2</TD><TD><TD>1.8%, JJ+ <<if he is pushing the above, this is your optimal calling range</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
88 is a clear fold here. You need a monster to call.

    I generally use:
    http://www.holdemresources.net/hr/sn...alculator.html

In the structure box, change the amounts to reprepsent the payout structure eg. standard SNG .5,.3,.2, satellite .33, .33, .33, etc.

However I think this one is limited to 4 payouts, so it is more for SNG spots than satellites.
