  1. Just wondering some thoughts on players who are raising or limping and calling your raises and are involved in every pot. I'm talking mostly about the beginning stages of tournaments but in general also. Is strategy here to tighten up and look for more premium hands to get him with or loosen up your staarting requirements a little since he is playing such a wide range.
  2. This is exactly what I would do. I'm really thinking here of something like a $5 SNG, where you don't have tons of other good players.

What I think you need to do is to slowplay/trap. Try to get a hand and then crush them. Also, loosen your push requirements. Top pair decent kicker might be good enough to put your life at risk here, since the loose player can have far less.

Against there players, I like to try and avoid drawing type hands. Suited connectors are great, but odds are, on the flop, you'll still be drawing, and you can't push the player out. Just wait for a big hand, try and let it catch, and then kill them.

Also, if you get an AA or KK, I would slowplay it, and let that person catch something small and get you. Sure, these are risky plays, but you have to catch these players with hands, since they often have much more experience of playing bad hands after the flop, and some lunatics can actually play quite well, figuring out if they are ahead or not.

Just like the Seal article, don't try and change the agressive player, just set them up, and put one big blow on them.
  3. Thanks for the input like your thoughts.

  4. Be careful and try to make sure you are concealing your plays though. I am guilty of playing the table leader at times. If I get on a roll early in a sng or mtt I will continue to play super aggro if i feel like i can get away with it. But I am always paying very careful attention so that i won't fall into a trap. Its logical for people to tighten up and play more trappity against a crazy player and anyone proficient in playing this style knows the first course of action the villians will take.

I would also recommend instead of slowplaying big pairs, try to make a play that looks forced, frustrated. After all the point of playing this style is to tilt and stack as many opponents as possible. If it looks like you are reshoving the guy because you are sick of getting pushed around, he is morelikely to pay you off if he has some kind of hand or thinks he will be flipping.

    Just my two cents, gl.
  5. what do you think about Andy blochs section in ftp strategy guide (if youve read it) where he pretty much likes to always limp behind a chronic limper. A lot of people go on a mission to stop limpers by constantly raising them. A raise wont make them fold and you pick up no knew information. You want to encourage them to keep limping and loosen up your starting requirements playing suited connectors and such eventually you will hit a big hand.
