  1. I'm a low-to-mid stakes non-turbo STT player who is trying to make the switch from Poker stars to Full Tilt and not having much success. I'd appreciate any hints from someone who has done this successfully. It seems the style of play and the difference in blind structure differ just enough that I am not "comfortable" on FT yet. To this point, it seems most FT players at these levels will call any bet other than an all-in and often call all-ins light. Plays just don't seem to work and catching cards is the only thing that wins. Obviously, you can't count on always catching cards :)
  2. I bet I can do as bad or worse on PS as I do on FT IMHO
  3. Thank you for your thoughtful reply. That was very helpful.

  4. FTP seems to move much quicker, I noticed after playing on PS exclusively for quite some time, that players on FTP generally tend to play more hands early and very aggressively with the intention of doubling up. I was surprised how few hands I was playing before hitting the money in some games. I find a solid approach on FTP works very well early on, because the amount of times you watch 3-4 players bust out right away seems to be a lot more common than on stars at similar stakes. That being said, don't be afraid to play in an exploitable fashion, try over-betting with your big hands early on, some people are incapable of folding top pair, for any amount.

I tend to think the players are similar, and there really isn't a big difference, but the software moving faster, and allowing more hands per/hr and different blind structures, is something that can't be ignored, because there is certainly differences.
