Here are my results in party poker MTT tournaments from right after their upgrade (Feb 16) till March 22.
Count: 39 | Total Win: $34,000 - Total Rake: $612 - Total Buyin: $6,130 - Total R/A: $1,350 = Total Profit: $25,908
ROI: 320.17% | Expectation: $664.31 | ITM: 20.51%
obviously amazing, I had a huge run including two big wins and several other final tables.
Around the time that this ended, I began my epic run on pokerstars. Lets look at my Party Poker results since March 22:
Count: 33 | Total Win: $298 - Total Rake: $357 - Total Buyin: $4,340 - Total R/A: $390 = Total Profit: $-4,789
ROI: -94.14% | Expectation: $-145.12 | ITM: 3.03%
wow. Considering that I profited about $80K in MTTS on PokerStars during this same period of time, its pretty incredible that I managed to lose so many tournaments in a row.
the point is that MTTs are insanely swingy, so don't feel too down after a bad run. Anything can happen...for all you know the cards will fall right one day, and you will end up winning a Sunday tournament or something huge. So, keep your hopes up!
Good Luck,
Jeff -
