I've been a member of P5's for a while but I didn't start comming to the site even semi-regularly until recently. Lately I've seen the word "level" used in a bunch of articles (ie the one titled "donk on" - which is a pretty stupid article in my opinion) and I'm not sure what it means... anybody care to give a definition?
-
Lets pretend you knew exactly what a level was. In that situation, your post would be considered a "level"
Does that help? -
Sorry, thought I was in OT!!! So the obv answer would be "um, yes!!"

A level is a post that is a joke, but said in a serious tone. Some people like to post a really dumb question on purpose as a joke, and sit back and enjoy the responses. The people who respond as if the question is serious are the "marks". I'm usually one of the marks.
A good level will not be obvious.
Example of a good level post:

In this post, Sneaky does a great job of offering sound advice on how to beat an online tourney...well...not so sound, but he sounds sincere! About 50 or so marks fall for it (which is a testament to Sneaky's leveling ability). Sneaky gets the last laugh.
