  1. This is obviously a hate thread and I'd be more than happy to committ a hate crime on anyone I see do these things at the table. I hate all of you donks! (Although the flip side is if there were no donks we'd make no money).

    1. 7 limpers in the pot and the big blind MINI RAISES!!!! I have to physically sit on my hands to avoid re-shoving all-in on him no matter what my cards.

    2. Open shoving 1500 UTG and then SHOWING AA after scooping 30 in blinds.

    3. Open shoving after flopping the stone cold nuts in an unraised pot and then showing. Are you TRYING to minimize your value? No joke...I saw one guy shove on a 2-2-8 board in a pot with 5 limpers and then after everyone folds he SHOWS 2-2 for QUADS.

    4. Over betting a rediculous amount relative to the size of the pot post flop. Like the guys who hold A-9 and then bet 800 into a 200 pot on a board A-2-4 rainbow.

    5. Anyone who says QJ is a solid hand.

Wow thats all I have for now - I have to take a break, typing this is putting me on tilt. What do you guys hate?

  2. I like it when they are in the BB for 1/2 their stack and fold when the SB pushes.

Or when they check/call check/call the flop and turn for 85% of their stack on a draw, and then try to bluff their last 400 chips into a 3k+ pot where their opponent has no chance of folding.
  3. Don't forget the donk that calls someones 4 or 5x BB raise out of position and then opens post flop for a min bet. And folds when he gets reraised.
  4. AGGGHGHHHHHHHHHHGGGGGHHH!!!!!!!

    ^%($#&_&+&*%$#$#@#@#!@*#

There all the steam is gone.... but yes 2 and 3 are priceless, and what is more amazing is they think they played it well
  5. Actually... never mind. I like when they do that, it means I usually get all their chips eventually.
  6. On a side note....

I've finally found a place where the players are WORSE than those in the 4.40s.

Sunday Million Double Shootous - This has to be the mecca for every bad player in the world. I've never seen more horendous play in ANY game EVER.

  7. They guy that calls pot size bets on the flop and turn and folds to a value or even min bet on the river.
  8. Oh another one.

Starting a tournament with 75 big blinds and knowing you have ABSOLUTELY NO FOLD EQUITY. DOFIMEOFNS:NEF

  9. QJ is a solid hand and if you don't think so <span>you're</span> the donk for playing it incorrectly

  10. ^^^was just about to say that
  11. ^^^^^ rest my case.

  12. QJ is way above Damage1's Hand Range
  13. I can not for the life of me believe you just let the cat out of the bag!!! Shame on you!

    :D

    K.
  14. The stupidist thing that donks do all the time is to give me all their chips. =)
  15. QJ is a decent hand but would you call somebody who moves all in over the top with it? Donks love to limp with QJ/KQ and when you come over the top for 5k more, they INSTA call to beat your TT.
  16. I actually opened this thread hoping someone had posted some of my HH's in here.
  17. hands i remember getting called by when i open shove AA utg early in a tourney:

    A2-AK

    22-KK

    any 2 face cards

    some suited connectors.

I don't show when everybody folds though.
  18. Open shoving a limped flop with 3 spades in the BB...only to be called down with the guy on the button holding A3 spades. Then showing top pair 9 kicker...

This happened twice yesterday in the same SNG I was in, this same 9-man was in the money at the 30/60 level w/ me not having yet won a pot, and only seeing 2 flops, both checked from BB. Fireworks I tell ya...
  19. Spectre,

I know what you mean. I hate many of these things too. But, I think some of these aren't even that bad of players doing them.

    1) Inexcusable. Horrible player unless it was an accident. There is no way to justify this move (unless you have AA, and you KNOW there is a donk out there that will push ATC all in. But, I have never seen this, so I dont' think it happens)

    2) Not a bad play at all. First off, as another poster said, the calling ranges are huge. I think this is a +EV move, shoving AA early (especially the first hand). You just won't get many chips here on this hand early, but if someone calls you, it's huge. So, the times 22 calls you, it makes it worth while

    3) Not a huge fan of the move, but again, the calling ranges are huge. Draws to flushes will call you. Often time, an 83 from the BB will call after checking. Slowplayed big hands (JJ types) will call these. Again, you won't get called often, but many times, you are only getting a few more chips there if you nickle and dime, if you push, the times you get calls, it pays off.

    4) Not a big fan of this (and something I never do). Then again, these hands look so weak, K-4's are making calls. These end up being insanely profitable when they hit.

    5) Given the right scenario, QJ isn't a bad hand. Just depends on what you mean by solid.
  20. The thing I hate the most about bad players is how they constantly make threads on forums about other people being "donks." I guess I should be glad they're not spending that time trying to figure out how to beat those people.
  21. what about the classic check, min raise?
  22. people that think the HAVE to call AJ- AK. Its not the nutts punk but no matter what FTP just throws that Fucking A out there against my KK everyfucking TIME fd sabs asaqe rea bsgf ngx.
  23. hey spectre look to ur left in the 20k garenteed. <wave>
  24. My personal favorite is when you are like 2 or 3 hours deep in a tourney and some guy just starts open shoving for like 30 BBs for no reason, someone will ask "wtf?" and he will reply with something like, "i have to go to work" In other words these players actually start playing tournaments with absolutely no chance of winning them
  25. That does piss me off too greggo

I have actually started threatening them. I tell them that they are not allowed to chip dump in the terms of service, and their actions are tantamount to chip dumping, and if they continue, I will report them.

I have no idea what the site would do if I actually wrote them, but I've done this twice and both times the guy quickly apologized and stopped. One of them actually played another 2 hours, so I think his might have been a lie.

Just tell them they can sit out if they need to go, but you can't ruin it for everyone.
  26. sitting out would honestly be a better move for them in many cases its either they push until they lose and make nothing or they fold to money occasionally by sitting out obv depending on where they are in the tourney
  27. Any min bet will do.
  28. youre a legend man.......i hate all of the same things but my pet peeve is the min raise with everyone limping...........also the min reraise after a raise is probably the most pointless and dumbest play in poker

  29. The min-raise is pretty rediculous, but I have to admit I've done it on purpose to piss people off who've already been complaining about it. I mean, if you're just going to limp into the pot continuously and then actually complain about someone doing this...I can guarantee I do it to you the next time around. All it takes is a 2.5 to 3.5xBB raise to stop it, but people keep just going along with it.

This being said, it's only done out of spite, and in no way is it actually a strategy decision.
  30. Agreed Zapper. Open-shoving AA early in a donk-fest with an M>50 is +++EV. The calls you get are amazing and opening for the standard 3-5x allows the donks to call with their T6s and hit two pair and bust you because you'll never know where you're at.
