1. Ever since playing on pokerstars I have wanted to play in the big sunday event. I have never been able to buy directly in so this week I have tried winning a seat. What is the easiest way to win it for a player like me who plays the smaller buy ins?. My first attempt I tried last night. I played in a $11.70 double shootout with about 70 players. I won my first table in 20 minutes and after waiting almost 45 mins the final table began. I went from 1500 to 2500 in 2 hands after winning a big pot with 6s9s and KhQh. They pay out 3 spots and there are 5 people left. By the time there were 5 left I was in 3rd. I get 4 4 in the sb. UTG and the button calls in front of me so raise it 2.5x the BB. BB folds and UTG and the button calls. flop is 2 4 6. I bet 3/4 the pot and i get a push all in from the button. He had 7 5 on a straight draw and hit a 3 on the turn to complete it so knocked me out. I wasn't too mad but what I really was wondering is how should I change my style when being so close at the final table. I know a lot of you guys are successful in winning spots through satellites and any advice would be appreciated.

2. How to get into the Sunday Million on the Cheap (or building a bank roll with T$)

The Cheapest way is the 500FFP Satellites 1 seat for every 13,500FFP. They run 3 of these a day 14:05, 22:05 and 1:35. 1 seat for every 27 entries. Not too bad.

The $3r @ 4:05 and 13:05 pays one seat for every 72 entries and rebuys. This is a real whipping and your chances of winning are fairly low.

The $11 Satellite to Sunday Million. 1 seat for every 21.5 entries. Plays at 00:35, 02:05, 11:05 and 20:35. Never pays many seats so only play if you can go deep.

The $11r 12:12 and 23:12. Pays 3 times as many as the $11. This is you best cheap shot, only play with 27 or more entries.

The $39 Satellite great value low variance. The Sunday Morning 11:30 usually pay 80+ seats.

The $39r Satellite Easiest to win but lowest ROI, not for the faint of heart Expect to have 3 buyins always add on, never double buy in the beginning and quit if you bust after 5 buys but not before. (This is my Favorite)

I have not listed any turbos or double shoot outs. Turbos because they are a crap shoot and double shoot outs because of the high variance and limited number of seats paid (also I suck at them).

Good luck and see you at the tables.
3. Why should you quit if you are in over 5 buyins in the 39r? That doesn't make any sense at all

4. CT, u just got super unlucky there. I have won probably 10 or so sunday million tickets, most of my success coming from that same double shootout. You may also want to check out the $8.80 double shootout that they run on the weekends. They go off everythime 36 players sign up for it, you have to beat 5 players on your first tables, and the 5 on the second to win the ticket. I have won 3 of them this way (this is my favorite way to win that ticket). They only run these on the weekends though.

Good luck

5. You make a good argument, one that Adam made after my article was published. Beyond 5 buy ins you are just minimizing your loses.

I think a good argument can be made for either side.

Some days though you are just throwing good money after bad.
