IDK how to make a poll but, gay or not gay?
Also, If it is gay does it make it less gay if you only put them on while your in a hand? -
is it outside and very sunny? not sure why you would need sunglasses to play poker?
-
gay...and gay. But hey, it's your body, do what u want.
-
gayer when your playing cash and the person has only 40bucks infront of them...lol
-
You know how I know you're gay?
Because you wear sunglasses at live $1/$2 cash games -
makes you look like a grade A player.... FTW
-
not gay. i play MTT's @ local racetrack and wear my shades mostly because i'm stoned much of the time.also i wear
them all day @ work so i'm used to having them on. 1st is usually 3k in the particular tourney i play. i've final tabled
twice. i don't necessarily wear them all the time either. -
No. No, man. Shit, no, man. I believe you'd get your ass kicked wearin' something like that, man.
-
Lol at sunglasses! Look at main event ft 3 handed. 2 wore glasses one didn't. Look who won. Coincidence? I think not.
-
I like to wear reflective ones so my opponents can see my cards....

OP, seeking the approval of the community for image-based questions makes it appear as if you have low self-esteem or sexual identity issues. I'll assume instead of not wanting to look 'gay', you instead do not want look like a douche. Regardless, you should be more concerned with your performance than what those around you think.
Pros of wearing sunglasses:
externally - it may be harder to get a read on you
internally - you may feel a greater sense of confidence if you feel your opponents cant get a read on you. this in turn may allow you to make better bluffs etc that you wouldn't normally attempt
Cons:
externally - none unless you care about image
internally - sunglasses subdue the outside world and can make it harder to concentrate. In dimly lit rooms they may cause eye strain and make you sleepy. -
Gay is worrying about what other people wear, act, or look. Worry about yourself. And Yes I wear them.

Unless you're trying to give away misinformation, the goal in poker is to give away the least amount of information possible. Know yourself. If you think your eyes are going to give away info, then wear shades. F all the haters, do what works for you.

I don't know, I kind of like people to know that I'm looking at them. It makes them really uncomfortable and if I'm in a big hand with them, that's good. I know the sunglass proponents think it's good that other people can't know where you are looking, but I kind of like it.
Like Philip Hilm in the 2007 main event. He was a little creepy the way he stared people down, but it really made people uncomfortable.

I wear sunglasses when playing online.

1. I dont wear sunglasses normally playing live at all, normally just wear a hat and keep my head down while in a hand.
2. I am self concious about people lookig at my eyes while in a hand. Not sure if I give off tells or not but I feel like I may.
3. Wore sunglasses in a donkament his weekend, kinda felt gay. But I like the fact that I can still look at them and not have to keep my head down or be self concious about giving off tells.
4. I only put the sunglasses on while in a hand.
