    In the past few years Super Bowl Sunday is the second best Sunday of the year for MTTs. Mother's day always has the biggest & most overlays in MTTs. I am saying screw the Super Bowl and playing MTTs all day rather than my normal ring games. What are Super Bowl Sunday Overlays & Promo Events?

    Please include all Poker sites and information that you wish to share.

    Hasn't FullTilt always reduced the gtd on the 750k?

    I think I'm going to grind this Sunday as well since it's my birthday and I have to ship something huge right?

    there is no way that superbowl sunday is remotely good for mtt's...

    big soft fields with huge first place prizes are best for mtts

    Yeah ... the avg joe is dusting off the extra income at the local bar or on party supplies. Not Full Tilt and pokerstars.

    Id love to see some overlays this Sunday. But most likely it will be later tourneys since i assume everyone outside the US doesnt give a shit about the game. So maybe the mill, the $500, the $11 250k and the $55 125k will have overlays?

    lol, yeah, it only available on TV in like 220 countries worldwide, doubt anybody from outside US will even know what superbowl is

    I've read somewhere that 34% of pokerstars player base is from the US. Previous history does show alot of overlays on Superbowl Sunday. I do think FT reduced the 750k guar one year.

    I think last year Full Tilt ran 5x player points from 6pm -midnight EST.

    I think the bigger point is American Football is going to effect mainly US players with some spill over into other countries. Yes they are broadcasting the game in Nigeria, but that doesn't mean people really care.

    agreed, but last year it got a peak audience of like 350-400 million, so it is definately not non-existent across the rest of the world

    Yeah this. I really don't care at all ... If the 750k has a 25-100k overlay. I just don't. If I even thought for 1 second of not hanging out w/ my friends and watching such a sick superbowl and playing tourneys instead ... I'd run even worse. The overlays (If there even are any) are irrelevant to me. GL 2 every1 playing though.

    Some of that overlay in people watching the Superbowl relates to Americans like me who now live in other countries.

    PS: NFL is much more exciting to watch than soccer (European football...whatever you want to call it). Soccer is almost as exciting to watch as the Script Spelling Bee thou...

    The problem is the overlays get crushed as it is, so even with less people playing becasue of the superbowl, they will most likely still make the guarantees, and if they don't they'll probably just leave registration open until they do.

    I know there was already a thread. Just figure I ask again the night before to see what the general consensus is.

    I'd imagine some tournaments that are bigger(majors) would be overlayed, but the dailies would cover since it's sunday?
