Also can anyone tell me what site I could buy these from for a good deal? Or what the best way is to go about getting them.

12. if you're going to buy $T, to buy into tourneys, why not just use regular $??

(forgive me if this is a dumb question)

are you assuming you're going to get the purchase at a discount?
13. i use mine for sng
14. my_word=gold
15. No I just want to avoid playing cash games at all cost. Thats me being honest. I regualary can beat tourneys but cant beat cash. Always think I can though and donk away my money....

So can no one tell me where I can buy $t???

16. you cant...everything that MOOK has told you so far has been wrong.

The only way that I know that a person who is not one of cashman's cronies' can get T$ is to just go into the Sunday satelllites and just ask people if they want to sell their seat for like $210 or w/e. There is a Trade T$/W$ option under "requests" in the PS lobby.
17. they are good for sng. bottom line.
18. So they only way to buy $T is for a player that has them???

19. Good luck. There is no site that sells them...they only buy. Your only hope is to find a thread on here with some1 looking to sell them and be the first one to offer up a price. I was able to buy some that way...Also, you could try going to in progress satellites and making offers to people who are about to win some T$, I dont know if Stars allows this though, so dont blame me if you get in trouble!

20. ok, heres the deal with T$. You can use them for any regular MTT or SNG on stars. I'm not sure if you can use them on events in which you can use $W for, but you may be able to. You can buy them at cashmanbrian.com, unless that has changed recently.

21. all you have to do is play the sat for the sunday contest and you get your moneys worth that way. im just basically new to poker and i have won various shootouts so it only costs 11.00 to enter and 2 people win 215
22. Just to be clear, we are currently BUYING T$ and W$ here at Pocketfives (Sell Your W$/T$), as do several other sites, but as far as I know they are only willing to SELL to people who buy them in LARGE lots. These are full time grinders and pros who want nothing to do with spending their time with too many small satellites, but do see the value in a 5-10% discount on their buy-ins to tournies across the board.

ALSO, we Do NOT allow funds transfer requests. They do pop up from time to time, bue will be deleted as soon as seen by any moderator. This is for the protection of both the seller and potential buyers so please respect this rule.
23. Also, I'm slightly concerned about your resoning here-- I know cash games are tempting, but if they are a leak in your game and you lack the discipline to stay away from them, or invest the time and effort to learn to beat them at lower limits then I would encourage you to take a step back and re-evealuate what you want to get out of playing poker.

Good luck,

Lenny
24. i just cashed out all my real money from stars and have only T$ in there, which i'm using to play SNGs. they're good for anything.
25. I think we are sure that they are good for SNG'S. 20 something post and 10 or more have said they are good for SNG's. ty

26. I think some people are confusing W$ and T$... YES W$s can be used for any MTT or SNG - I have done it many times! The reason to buy them is that you can save 5 - 10% on your costs. It is a nice way to save $s to your bottom line. A few of the sites may sell them to you, but I think they normally only sell in big blocks. Check Cash Man Brian out. Also 2+2 (I wish we could post them on here - it works well there) has a spot in their MTT Forum where you can list T$s for sale (or if you are looking to purchase). Often you can find a good deal on small amounts like T$215.
27. I wasn't going to post since its already been said but since MGin is incorrect I want to clarify for everyone.

T$ can be used to enter any tourney. Period. Any SNG, any MTT, any Heads Up SNG, any satellite.

W$ can only be used to buy directly into WSOP WPT or WCOOP satellites/events.

For example:

If you have $55 W$ AND $55 T$ and want to enter a $55 sat to the WSOP they will debit your W$ first.

If you have only $55 T$ and want to enter a WSOP $55 sat they will take them.

If you have $55 of each and want to enter a $110 WSOP sat they will take both the $55 T$ and 55 W$.

If you have $55 of each and want to enter a $110 MTT tournament they will take $55 T$ out of your account and $55 CASH. They won't accept the W$ for regular MTTs.

Hope this clears things up.

Cheers,
Bjybjy

(I buy T$ at my site, so I'm pretty familiar with them)
28. I am not sure what I wrote that was incorrect. But I agree with bjybjy on how they work, I have completed transactions just like every example he provides... His explantion is much more clear as I planned on explaining $W but somehow left them off...

All in all a great way to save yourself some money...
