Thanks! I'm glad we're standing up for ourselves. We're being heard.

  7. Sent and I hope everybody who sees this takes a minute or two to send these preformed letters. It really does make a difference and as full time or recreational players, we need to keep online poker going any way we can.

  9. We can also tweet the following:
Indiana Atty Gen Zoeller seeks online #poker ban! Tell him on his Facebook page what you think http://is.gd/cKDoV PLZ RT
I posted and messaged him [he accepted my Facebook friend request :-) ] with the following:

    Dear Attorney General Greg Zoeller,

I am disappointed to learn of your decision to ask Congress to oppose federal legislation to license and regulate online poker. These bills allow states to opt out. There no preemption of state authority. I encourage you to reread the bills.

The legislation you oppose allows states to choose to permit licensed online poker. States choosing to participate will benefit. They'll gain control over online poker, as market forces favor these sites over unregulated, unlicensed sites. They will also gain revenue. Most importantly, the people WANT the right to play. They don't need big government telling them what is best for them.

We have seen this in my home state of Kentucky. Congress passed legislation -- the Interstate Horse Racing Act -- to allow states to choose to allow online wagering on horse racing. This has been nothing but a success for the state of Kentucky. As a Kentuckian, I am a little offended that you seek to prevent my state from making the same decision for poker.

I urge you to support limited government and liberty.

    Thank you for your consideration.

    That's awesome!

The best thing about this is that we have good lobbyists representing poker players on Capitol Hill. These letters give them the ammo to stick up for our rights, while they give our letters the punch they need to be even more effective. It's totally win-win.
