  1. I decided I was going to take my shot tomorrow so I took $50 of my roll to try and satellite into the 400k. I started playing satellites for $26 tokens then took those to play for $75 tokens. So now I'm sitting with an entry in to 400k, two $75 tokens and one $26 token all for $50.

So any advice for a college kid who grinds $5 SNG's playing in a major?

  3. Be agressive Be aggressive.. I dont care if it's your last 215 dollars in your bankroll and you just registered for the million guranteed.. Play to win, any ounce of fear, quit now.. In this game you will never make it with fear.
  4. Oh and this doesn't mean to hope you're at my table and pick on me.

  5. Good Luck...let us know how you do.
  6. if u play tight you will get run over.

AGGRESSIVE! like it's already been said. a good idea might be to open up 2 or 3 $5.00 sng's and play them at the same time to make sure you play the same style!

i use to do this with $25 turbos and $55 turbos.

i'd get my roomate or friend or girlfriend to mix up the tables so that I didn't know which were what...that way i didn't play tighter at the higher buy in than the lower.

Good luck sir. give an update if u don't mind
  7. play weak/tight

  9. Find your own strat and maximize your chip stack with this strategy, dont count on other players strats to help you if you dont like their strat to begin with. And dont play weak/tight.
  10. I'm with IronFalcon on this one...I don't think you should do all that much different than what you normally do. Your game might not be optimized for the Sunday Majors, but if you try and be something you're not, you'll get flipped around and twisted and probably have a miserable time in addition to not seeing the results you want.

Fortunately, if you're a good SNG player, you'll know how to play a short stack and how to get aggressive when you have to.

And have fun. Your first Major is always the best one (until you go super-deep in one, anyway)....

  11. ^^^ Very good post. Play with what got you there.

You do have to forget about the money though. Pretend like it's your normal buyin and play your normal game.
