I wrote this as a blog entry a few months ago, and I'd like to thank pocketfives for putting it up. I 'd also like to know what you guys think of the writing, and the two plays described.

I think you were pretty accurate in the broad sense of the play, but playing good poker is always about getting reads on individual players in real time.
As a general discussion I guess knowing how these plays are generally made would be helpful when facing someone you are playing for the first time. But as far as knowing trends in general I think that should mostly be thrown out the window as you are constantly trying to figure out each individual opponent. -
I enjoyed it, and learned from it--as I almost always do from the essays pok 5 posts.
