  1. Your article was exactly what I needed to read. Lately ive been getting my money in with the best of it only to lose like crazy. Sometimes I make horrid plays that leads me to losing the hand but mostly ive been sucked out on. It has been tuff, and has effected me negatively, so much so ive been playing much weaker than usual. After reading this I feel refreshed and much stronger in the face of varience.

Edit: since reading this im on a huge heater, not sure if varience knows im not afraid now or what, but it sure is nice feeling the other side of it!!
  2. Have to 2nd that. Great article from one of my fav players - hes way ahead of me in maturity compared to when I was his age and provides a great example.
  3. assassinato pwns life, nice article againnn thanks!

  4. Assassinato is the man. His approach to the game is so clean, crisp, and neat. I'm sure will continue to see big things from him. Thanks man!
  5. very nice article

  6. Wow NATO...I'm going on my 1st year since I joined this great community, and have read alot of the articles and good ones at that, but this one takes the cake. This is the best article that I have read on this site period. This is truely inspiring and gives hope as our game takes heart, focus and pure hard headedness to accept what it gives us. This is pure gold..and you sir pwn all for this. TY pz
  7. Great article guy! Definetly one of the best articles ive read on this site as well....
  8. yeah ive been taking bad beats like crazy and I mean some sick ones. I read the article and went in to 3 sngs feeling confident and refreshed and took 3 bad beats. FUK. When your flopping sets and str8s and losing you know you need some time off.
  9. great article...
    just what i needed

    thanks
  10. had me on the edge of my seat.

    one criticism:

    more mood softening music discussion.
  11. imo by far the best writer on the site amidst some very good ones, another great topic about which we all constantly need reminders, myself included. great article =)

  12. yeah...^^ what they all said ^^
  13. Another excellent article by one of the most genuine, grounded poker players I know.

  14. What is impressive is how Alex actually does do what he says. I was recently in the 50 rebuy with him on Full Tilt and he came back from a short stack to be chip leader. I was in pretty dire straits. He lost one coin flip. Acted cool about it. Then he lost KK to AQ to me. Acted cool about it. Then lost 55 to A9 to me. Acted cool about it. Any other professional would have gone nuts. While I stand by my plays, most of the players would have freaked out. Nope. He acted cool. He was friendly and said good game to all. I then went on to win the tourney btw :). but that was really impressive to me how he could act so calm about gettng such bad luck at the end of a tourney.
  15. well done bro, for your age you have lots of knowledge and a good head on your shoulders stay that way and you will go far man!ty for the reading it was great and i hope all including me can take your advice and thrive ty sir

  16. Hey guys,

I just woke up here in Germany (I am hanging out here with some friends before EPT Dublin). Waking up to read this thread makes taking the time to write these articles worth it. Thank you guys for taking the time to read the articles and send me feedback. I will keep writing as long as you keep reading. Good luck all.

    -Alex

P.S. Way to shiiiip that tournament we were in Hodge :)

  17. Oh, so you were hanging out in Germany^^ with ur New Yorker gang???
Well, yes, Assassinato is the little buddha with some candles...i guess you guys all knew that already, but...

It was so ridic when he came to my house and unpacked 24 packages of tea. The next thing he would do is getting 5 different colours of candles and lighten them up. I wasnt going to say anything, but it was sort of weird when he started chanting weird words in his "charma corner".
Yes, Alex is a little buddha, exspecially when he´s shoving T7sooooooooooted, and getting called.
The walls of my appartment still have signs of his total aparaxia and relaxing attidude. He was so calm, when he threw the chair. One could see that he exactly knew what he was doing.

Ok Alex, thx, keep on beeing my buddha, but next time, turn the apokalyptica music off, only because ur final tabling a 18man tourney.

    :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)
  18. looooool...I hate you Nathanael. Thanks again for the pillow that was actually a rolled-up tent canopy. And please continue to critique every single hand I play while I am 12-tabling as that does wonders for the concentration. Thank you too for continuing to tell German girls whatever it is you are telling them in German that makes them giggle at me and then run off.

Just remember I know where you sleep now, and you gave me a key to your place, so do not mess with me kid.

Now get your bitch ass in the kitchen and make me some tea if you want me to keep staking you for 4.40 180-mans

btw, There is only one guy here thats thrown a chair and his name isnt "alex"

    :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)
