Some people would not push and try to get more money by waiting for a better hand...

But I think with the chips I had, if he had nothing he would fold.

If I bet smaller, he comes over me, I have to call cause 1/2 my chips in there. If I going to call his raise, I am going allin first.

Just unlucky that he had such a big hand.

Edit*** I know you asked pete this but thought he was done posting for the night and figured I could break it down for you cause obv pete knows what im saying as he made the play.

Well you have KJ folded to you in the cutoff there and you have enough chips to make someone fold a lot of hands and if you notiec 2k/4k = 6k + 1800 in antes = 7800 in the pot preflop giving him an ''M'' (rounds of folding til he was broke) of about 2.7 which = danger zone needing to make a move.

PS if you are going to play this it has to be for all of your chips you cant make a standard raise and not be committed so you want to use all of your folding power you have (ala AI)

When you are in that zone you want to be the first into the pot and KJ in the cutoff is likely the best hand there and you have a good chance to increase your stack by 37% without a showdown IS HUGE.

Add that with the fact that he is last in chips and if you are playing to win you cannot simply bleed off you must make a move while you have good position and fold equity and he did and he did. Ran into a monster and gg.
