    Ok ok, I love and read Pocket fives on a daily basis, some of the posts are v v funny etc I CANT WORK OUT HOW TO GET PARAGRAPHS but I will continue! So many wannabe pros, so much positive ROI etc and so MUCH BLLSHT I think you can all agree on that? But what I want to know to how many OLDER guys out there that play without a care in the world like I do? Or am I really in a world of skinny Plus EV madmen?

    I have tried to get paragraphs, but for the life of me I CANT?? I separate etc etc but it all comes out joined up? Can any of you PLUS EV freaks help me?

    My dad is in his mid-40's, makes almost 300k/year at his job, and plays $1 sngs for fun, idk if that qualifies.

    should be able to make paragraphs by typing "<br><br>" I have to do that on other sites.

    Guess it doesn't work here though, or it wouldn't have printed out lol. If you click on the html edit button, you can add the <br><br>

    well, i mean, you joined a poker forum that is comprised mostly of players who want to be serious with their game... what exactly did you expect? there are a ton of guys like you out there who play only for fun, but there probably aren't a huge amount that post on this forum, because most regulars here are... well, skinny plus EV madmen

    I'm a casual player, too. But I like this site b/c it is filled with +EV players full of good advice helping me to improve.

    Dont know your age but I'm 46. I play for fun. I also read this site daily at work and I guess occassionally on Saturday night.

    i started playin because i thought it was a good oppurtunity to make some money, then i fell in love with the game/got addicted to it.

    I spent endless hours learning playing,reading and watching poker and still do. To be honest i lost my love for the game and got increasingly frustrated from mtts coz they literally depressed me.

    I played my last one in vegas, $500 buyin at the venetian and was chipleader for like 9 hours ran kk in aa preflop from the bb vs a button raiser who jus happened to take the majority of my stack, i dnt think ive palyed a tourney since (first was $60k i think), then i discovered deep stacked full ring cash games and found my niche and havent turned back and know i cudnt stop playin even if i wanted to coz im use to the money. disclaimer: i aint makin baller money but its an amount thats significant to me.

    i think its gud people play for fun, after all its just a game.

    43 here. Jump between 2-6-11 SNGs for fun. But figure if I am going to play, might as well try and win. Do ok. But it is more entertainment than anything. Win a couple grand a year and blow it on my kids at X-mas.

    I'm in the "older guy playing for fun" category however, having that competitive spirit... it sure ticks me off when I get it all in w/ AA against AK and I lose the the four card sux-out-flush.

    I guess I fall in the category (47), I play 10-12 times a week. I have gotten good insight into the current state of poker play by lurking here at P5s. I was able to win a $100 tournament on UB a couple years ago, but now play mostly the $3 KOs on FTP. My brother also plays there, but my OPR is way better than his, obv because of P5s!

    Hmmm, not sure if I am "old" but I am 37 which probably puts me in the oldest 10% on here...

    I play "for fun" in that I have a job and I play poker with money I can afford to lose; that said I do set myself targets...at the moment I am trying to see how much I can make playing the $12 180 turbos on stars - problem is I think I have chosen a rather high variance format! Stops my blowing my roll on PLO though :)

    google chrome for some reason always merges everything into one paragraph. not sure how to make paragraphs with chrome but firefox works fine with making paragraphs so whenever im posting something i just switch to firefox

    36 year old FAT +EV madman lol. started playing for fun and still do but have had some small success that has paid for everything from vacations to a wedding, which makes me feel like I SHOULD take it more seriously, so here I am, reading posting etc...

    I played football to the age of 42 and when i had to stop playing I was lost and needed a outlet for my competitive nature, Then I got into poker about 3 years ago and i just can not get enough of it.

    I can honestly say that I do not just play for the money and I get most of my enjoyment from learning the stratagies of the poker games.

    Im 43 and started out playing for fun, however, after too many 3-4 runner flushes and sttraights, I just might take a night job at Burger King.
