    There is skill, but at some point there is luck as well. Keep plugging away, hang in there, keep your chin up, just do it and all the other crap that goes along with it.

    Love the podcasts, oh wait...others know about them? I thought I was the only one?

    No matter what, you won't always win even if you do everything perfectly. That is what allows non-skilled people (myself included over and over again) to still play the game even when they tend to do most things imperfectly. In the end, you've got to realize the risk was there all along.

    My theory is this: Study the game, learn everything there is available. Play perfect. Once you begin to lose to Donk play, revert back to playing like a Donk, but now with knowledge, and you'll take down the WSOP.

    I tried checking out a podocast and it dl'ed successfully but it wouldn't play for some reason...any help would be nice.

    I posted a week and a half ago, about how I hadnt had a final table in what seemed like 6 months, and probably was... I'd got 10th place missing the FT 3 times in that week.

    2 days later, I final tabled 2 at the exact same time, and got 1st and 4th in them.

    Just hold on, it worked for me so far.

    i heard this somewhere... the short run is 100% luck the long run is 100% skill. something along those lines.

    Stay in there bud. I've gone bust a bunch of times. Made a ton of deposits before things straightened out. I dont know what games you play but I play cash limit and when I'm close to busto I either take a break or super tighten up. Re-read some material about patience and playing tight. Take a day or two to re-read the archives here. Take a deep breathe!! Talk theory with someone. The idea here is be proactive in finding a solution to this stress. GL.

    Do u think going in to super tight mode is going to help your game if thats not your reg style?Cause i dont.
