Anyone listen to it?
She dismisses the UB scandal as in the past even though people are uncovering new and malicious things every week. Just say it's because they hooked you up with a sweet deal to wear a patch, don't act like UB is on the up and up.
Also, I'm pretty distressed by her talking about how great her deep run will be for women in poker. A woman won the WSOP Europe and has tons of other results to back it up. Annette is the face of women in poker... Tiffany Michelle just ran well in one tournament and will no have no bearing (ZOMG) on poker for females for getting 17th in a tournament. Congrats on being this year's Maria Ho!
I've listened to every pokerroad show and this is honestly the first time ever where I had trouble getting through the show because of the guest.
Sorry about the vent. Just really annoyed and aggitated by the whole thing. I think she just rubs me the wrong way. Not sure if I'm the only one.
EDIT: I know nothing about Maria Ho's game in the least, I just know the two times I've seen her at this year's WSOP she was walking around with bodog gear talking about her agent while on her cell phone. -
she totally sold out Pokernews who BOUGHT HER ENTRY, I hope they take a bunch of her money in court. Maybe UB's new management is heading in the right direction but let's be honest here she went for the $$$ only. She's not going to be the face of women for poker, she's as Wein said this year's Erin Ness or whoever else.

Ive listened to almost every single version of the pokerroad show, whether it be on Pokerwire, Cardplayer etc... and the only episode i actually had to turn off was the one with Jennifer Tilly. Hopefully this one isnt that bad, i havn't had an opportunity to listen yet but my expectations are now set pretty low.
I was rooting for her to make the final table because i feel like it would have been a compelling story, but she seemed to dust the chips off pretty quick. I didn't get to follow the ME coverage too intently, but it seemed like she was just aggressive and ran pretty well. -
Maria Ho is actually a pretty sharp player imo, well based off this interview I read of hers one time, but she sounded like she knew what she was talking about and even said she hated tournaments!
-
someone has to fill the void of Annette until she's 21.
-
Tiffanny Michelle sold out Pokernews who employed her AND paid her entry etc into the main event to join with the shady, dodgy cheating scum at UB> What a whore imo.
-
Sounds like she'll fit right in at UB!
-
I don't agree with the name calling but I have lost a ton of respect for TM... its sick to hear she is dismissing the UB thing. Whoever is giving her advice is an idiot and ruining her upside.
-
Would love to hear Bax or Camby's opinion on this topic, as I respect both of them. Tiffany's opinion is like listening to an actor comment on religion or politics... Useless and s/b ignored..

Anyone got alink to the interview?

Wein,
I actually do believe that with the volume of coverage, plus being the actual U.S. main event it is easily as significant as Annette winning the WSOP Europe. Not knocking Annette, I'm a big fan, but you simply can't shrug off her 17th place finish as not being significant, not with all the TV, print and other media coverage....
17th in a 6800 person field is huge, and certainly compares as well to finishing 1st in a 360 person field.
I'm not sure what sort of deal she had with Poker News so I have no firm opinion on that, just my speculative opinion, although I will say Poker News did a fantastic job of reporting all of the action.
I can completely see within the scope of reason that since her sponsor was a news site, and not a playing site, that she could believe or justify that she had the right to seek endorsement from another source, such as a poker site.
Obv. it would have been unkosher for her to accept an endorsement from a competing news outlet, but unless her sponsorship agreement spelled out that she was restricted from accepting other endorsements, I say more power to her. -
Its "bearing" dude, but I wouldn't mind her baring either if you know what i mean wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
While I am making weak-ass double entendres, I would also like to fill the void of Annette ......if you catch my drift so to speak as it were. -
I agree about the comment that Court really did a great job of throwing questions at her and she just gave the same generic response. It was almost as if they were biting their lips hoping to get through the interview because it was like talking to a bot.
Seriously, she rubs me the wrong way and I have no idea wtf it is. Considering I was media last year you figure I should be pulling for her. -
After hearing the interview, I think she is ok. I can understand WHY she did what she did. From the interview I get the impression that UB expressed in her from Day 1 before she was getting deep, and the deal she had with PN was not exclusive. She decided to go with the poker site that was supportive and interested from the beginning and decided go with them.
IF she had done this with ANY other company except UB or AP, would we be talking about this at all?
Would PN be looking to sue her?
Doubt it.
We can definately criticize her for chosing UB, but from the interview I can understand why. She seems to think that the bad behavior happened previously and is not tied to current management. We dont know the reality of that ourselves, but that is her impression and she based her decisions on that. What else can you do?
I think PN is way out of line, in my opinion (without seeing her contract with them and going by the statements and interviews from both parties). I believe nothing will become of this threatened lawsuit. If her contract didnt stipulate that poker sites needed their approval prior nor exclusive of any poker related companies, then she was well within her rights to choose which ever sponsor she wanted.
If I was her, would have I gone with UB? Probably not because of the PR issues, and if your trying to build a poker carear, which these days is not only about your skillz, you would want a sponsor that is well liked within the industry.
Time will tell if she made the right call, but at this point I am reserving judgment. Just want to congratulate her run, and hope she can back up this performance with some more deep runs in some other events. If she can pull that off, then all of this will be moot. -
tiffany michelle is annoying. she is good looking, but i dont find her hot. maybe its because her personality is such a turn off, or maybe it is because she is your typically annoying dumb broad. i really dislike her. THANK GOD she didnt luckbox her way into final tabling the ME. i agree with wein, she just rubs me the wrong way.
and, fwiw, annette is 1000000000000X the player tiffany michelle is. with that chip stack, that late in the tourney, annette would have been a favorite IMO (and probably wouldve taken it down). congrats to TM though, hope she enjoys her 15 minutes of fame. -
How funny was it when Sebok was trying to discuss the hand she busted on and try to tell her that she literally beats zero hands with AJ? You can tell Sebok wants to tell her that her play was horrendous but after listening to her self-assured attitude he's just like fuck it, let's get through this interview asap. lol
-
lol i cant blame sebok for even a second. talkin to her for more than 1 minute would send me into the deepest drinking binge ever, evvveerrrrrrrr!!! it's like she didnt hear a word he said, but who is sebok to judge TM?!?!?! EL OH EL! i would be trying to get that interview over with before it even started.
-
Annette = better player
better person
better poker ambassador
TM couldn't carry Annette's thong
The next time Tiffany places in the top 100 in any tournament I will be the 1st to give her some props....not sure I will live that long though!!
Wein dead on here!! -
btw in her interview she seems shocked that one in one of the early hands her opponent had aa
didn't someone come on here and say that his roomate actually showed TM the aces for top set? -

All of u haters need to STFU unless u saw the contract or heard the conversation between Tiffany/Tony G. I guarantee u that 99.999% of u would accept a check for $200k from UB right now. The bottom line is that we don't know what really happened and we also don't know what UB gave Tiffany.
-
Ya, takes some sick skill to make it through the 30-50 player fields of the MGM tourney, Harrah's daily tourney, Binions daily, and a charity tourney. None of those buyins were over $150 or over 75 players, with exception to the charity tourney where she got 8th.
