  1. Tilt is an absolute killer if you multitable cashgames. My question is did anyone used to tilt often but learned to curb it, and if so how?
  2. pushups. increase health decrease stress.
  3. My opinion is that if losing upsets you then you are playing above your comfort level. Either that or you just have not been playing long enough to realize/accept that you're not going to win every session.

You pays your nickel and you takes your chances. Little kids throw a tantrum when things don't go their way until they grow up a little and realize that in life they are not always going to get their way.

What is the difference between tilt and throwing a tantrum?
  4. tilt is also really bad for mtt's, except it seems slightly better to lose 5000 chips of a 50 dollar buy in, than to lose 200 chips that are equal to dollars. if youre on tilt, play less tables, simple as that. or dont play at all
  5. You need to learn to control it with experience. I don't tilt anymore, at all.. I used to once in a while. After a while though you go through enough ups and downs that you realize it's a normal thing in poker.

  6. you can't learn how to stop tilt if youre naturally a spaz . you can only hope to contain it for a while. some people have the type of personality where they can successfully manage their tilt, but others like phil hellmuth, or myself every once in a while just cannot do it. lets just say i've improved. but every once in a while it boils over and i'll spend 2 or 3 days freaking out
  7. i know exactly what you are talking about man. i tilted away 6k in about 2 hrs 10 tabling 2 4 NL on full tilt about a month ago. i know this might sound weird, but i have come to realize that i am a lot less prone to tilt when i am playing after a solid of sleep. that is a huge factor for me.
