  1. How does everyone feel about these shove-fests?

It's a fun way to get through a field of thousands in just a few hours. But is it a profitable way to play MTTs?

I have had some success with these by simply playing super TAG while others seem to push with any Ax, or suited hole cards.

    Thoughts?

  2. they re love hate for me, but since i shipped one last night.... i guess i love them now

  3. they are all luck waste of time no way to beat it just the luckiest player wins i play real mtts not some turbos no skill there

  6. I think the first 10-20 hands are pure luck. If you can build a stack, then good push/fold knowledge gives you a big edge over most of the players (obviously referring to the lower stakes).
  7. Def love hate relationship
  8. The SnGs are a healthy part of my game. Ive played a handful of the MTTs and don't like them as much. The variance feels particularly vindictive and capricious. I also think optimal strategy is somewhat different in these than in the SnGs and it's hard for me to co-table both simultaneously.

I'd be curious about what sort of ROIs are possible with a large sample of the MTTs.
  9. idk how anyone with a solid push fold game could dislike this structure. No I dont want every MTT to be a ST, dont get me wrong that'd be boring as shit. But if you don't like these you probably have a bad push fold game, or are playing too high. When I decide what I'm playing in terms of my bankroll, I take hyper turbos on stars and super turbos on tilt and multiply the buy in by 2. If twice the buy in is within my freezeout guidelines I play, if not i don't. Helps to ease the variance that people complain about in faster structures. hope that helps

  10. These are great fun. Definately a luckfest though, I couldnt play them all day. I love the STT sattys they have just before the big guarantees with 100 chip starting stacks too.
  11. The $6.50 Super Turbo KO's are a lot of fun, and over in about an hour and change. As wivawat said, if you have a solid push-fold game, these things are a cakewalk... provided that you win flips and run goot.

totally agree, strong players either bust right away or cash deep because of the structure.
