i love it... but i have 1 question...
i'm just a dumb sng grinder so i don't play any real poker but i'm trying to play some more mtt's, and the concept of floating seems to be thrown around alot...
when you say you are floating w/ J5 on that AT7 flop, what do you mean... i thought the concept of floating was calling so a scare card would come that you could represent... what does the 2 on the turn allow you to represent that wouldn't have come through on the flop...
or is my view of floating wrong, and in this case you are simply making it look like you flat called w/ a monster and then raised the turn when he stuck a nice bet in there...
please explain someone? -

I think the two is irrelevant in this situation... U dont have to always wait for a scare card to float. In this case the scare card was on the flop.

It means calling with AIR, thus the whole "floating" terminology. And I guess it applies with "scare" cards, but usually it is used when you think your opponent is c-betting or leading out with some air of his own, and you intend to slow him down on the next street by smooth calling. If he checks, or in this case, leads weak again, then you can make a move at the pot.
Floating owns, but it is also responsible for 99% of the times I get my money in drawing dead. :) -

ok cause floating caused me to bust this weekend.
ok cause i played in a tourney this weekend and tried to float the flop and pot the turn with my low pair and ended up busting after getting runner-runner'd. -
