anyways for the low low price of $4.40 I have gotten into the 150k weekly on Absolute poker, and Im thrilled, but Im faced with a problem.
I know there will be alot of regulars, a fair amount of fish, and some big players that only come out for the BIG tourns.
At this point is were the help is needed, I dont know how to attack this tourn,Im not sure if I should go with my regular game, or if I should go very LAG, since I got in for $4, and its really a huge freeroll for me, I did get lucky while I was on the BB and held T-5 and had no choice but to put the rest of my little stack in.
I dont play scared, thats for sure I dont try to dive bomb, but in these deep stack tourns(not the big ones 150k/75K) I always end up at bottom of pay scale do to avoiding crazy donks, and bull dozers.
I have watched plenty of the big winners play these big tourns, and even when they make HUGE lay downs..(like QQ on the button when re-raised from the big)..man they dont get rewarded, for playing well.
sorry I did not make it short and sweet, just letting the community know about me so they can help me.
thanx

try and get a read on the table in the first 5 minutes and go from there

I would plat my normal game. if ur normal game sucks do the oposite of everything u think is right. worked for george castanza
-
I don't know what your normal game is, but it seems like whenever I read a post or see an interview of a player who took down a big MTT they always say how they started out tight and then loosened up once the antes kicked in. Play position to get your share of those big ante pots and be careful of the LAGtards and calling stations - you don't want to do your stealing from them. When the final 2 tables it just observe if everyone is playing loose or tight and then play the opposite. Same goes for final table.
Then again, I know nothing about poker. I'm more of a gin rummy guy. -
One thing you need to do is relax, it is still the same game, its a NLHE tourney. Let the butterflys free, your game got you there, believe in yourself and only make adjustments based on reads of the table. Dont go in thinking that these guys are better than you cause they're probably not.... remember you had to win your way in where as they probably just bought there way in.... and if they are better you can always moneymaker your way through! i would rail for support but dont even have AP downloaded GL and update us.

relax, dont go to laggy before the antes kick in. Gl tid.

This is a great place for the amateurs and veteran players to discuss and help each other with the game we all love and respect.
Thank you to all who make this the great place that it is
