Okay, so i've always smoked weed (usually sativas) while grinding mtts, but lately my stamina isn't what it use to be, guess i'm getting older (34yr) I even go to the gym regularly (3-5 times a week) and eat relativley healthy..Lately I find myself burning out midway thru sets and then punting off stacks when im down to my last few tournaments. I've decided i'm gonna attempt to grind this whole weekend w/o the aid of the herb (i'll just toke after my sessions to delay my gratification). Just curious if any other smokers go thru this and if u have any suggestions on how to fight the urge to toke while grinding
  2. Only thing that works for me is to not have it in my house.

  6. If it doesn't make you feel good don't smoke it.

    Get your stamina back up! working out is great but so is cardio. I don't mean on a treadmill either.

    Try setting your blaze sessions max 2 out of 7 days. Take care of your body, don't trick it.
     
  7. If you smoke in the house use the 5 min break to smoke outside, bit of fresh air usually helps..

    Besides the treadmill, what other cardio exercises do u recommend?

    Gl this weekend dude, you will def. find yourself to be less emotional swingy and have more clarity mentally.

    lol..i do love the herb. When i worked a 9-5 job i only smoked when i got home, but since i've been grinding poker full-time its obv more readily available and i find myself smoking all day. It also becomes more of an expense too obv. I"d like to think i can go back to just smoking after sessions.

  17. If its warm where you live then i'd run around my block a few times and find some paths with good sidewalks.

    If its cold i'd suggest finding the place with the cheapest gym to buy a membership. Make sure it has a sauna because it will refresh you to the fullest.

    Also, If I blaze 2 or 3 times a day then I feel pretty beat and tired too near the end of the day. Your smoking too though! which is fucking AWFUL! no offense but smoking cigarettes is the most disgusting, dirty, expensive habbit. I made one of my friends quit smoking and he just blazes now. He loves his lifestyle and hes feeling much better these days. The key point is to try your best. It's easy to get aggrivated over something and say (@#*$&#@ it, I NEED A SMOKE!

    Theres a few things you will need to improve...

    Motivation, determination, & inspiration.

  21. I used to only smoke whilde playing. I hated not playing not stoned. I do think I won an ok amount while stoned but when I go look back at all the stupid all ins I would try poorly timed bluffs I blame it on me getting too high. That might not be the case at all for many people, but it was with me. When I first quit playing without smoking I thought it was boring as hell and didn't enjoy it anymore. Until I realized that the brain doesn't make the same decisions it would always make sober. I hate even thinking like this because I used to do everything high. Job interviews, going to see the gramps, everything. While it does make EVERYTHING more enjoyable, it's not always the most +ev decision. I think you should just look at it like this: poker is work, and you say you used to only smoke when you got home from work, so why don't you only toke after your sessions and look at it as you just got through with the work day? Look at is a reward for getting through the work day :)

  23. If your sole reason for decreasing smoking volume is lack of stamina, then just smoke less often, with bigger periods of time between smoking as the day progresses. I kno I NEED that first and second blunt of the day, it puts me in the zone. But, if I keep up a sick rate of smokin im tired as fuck and oi 6 or 7 hrs in. Also, 5 hr energies get alot of negative feedback but i fuckin love em. Tastes a little bitter but sfworth it imo wakes me up w the perfect amount of concentration

  30. What time are you playing your sessions at? Is there a better time of day you could grind? I don't really like playing after working out.. I make bad plays and don't have the energy after a workout.. Maybe change your schedule up.. Coffee rapes too.
