Was this too spewy? Should i call for potodds? If i fold i still have a semi reasonable stack of 9000ish... -
it looks like you were getting better than 2-1 so i thinks its a call. with the straight outs, and assuming you ace is a good a large percentage of the time it is def plus EV. Unless you have a read that the player is only doing this with a set, straight, or two pair def call.

This is a situation I would advocate just pushing after he checks to you on the flop. Because of the stack sizes, he has a good opportunity to push over the top of your continuation bet (as strong or as weak as it is) with a hand like ak or aq. Since you're in decent shape against his range of hands, a call wouldn't be the end of the world but you'd much rather him fold. And he won't call a push with ak or aq here imo. If he's going to check-raise you and you're going to be committed to call anway, you might as well just push. Personally, I don't like overbetting the pot with an all-in because it sometimes looks weak, but in this case, he's only going to call the all-in bet with A9, a set, or an overpair (possibly A7 or A6 but would he call that pre? and obv a straight but again would he call that pre?), but he's potentially going to check-raise a much wider range. Just my two cents.
But I guess that doesn't really address your question. As played, yes I probably call, but it would definitely depend on the quality of players left. -
