  1. What software tools do top online players like Annette and Galfon use while playing to help them make better decisions at the tourney or cash tables tables?

    -Pokertracker 3

    -Pokercrusher

    -Others

I use Pokertracker 3, but not while I'm playing. I don't use any other poker software while I play and I find I could still put up okay results.
  2. pretty sure they dont use anything mostly cause these tools werent around when they started...ive never used a tool in my life and wont ever...i dont need a program telling me what to do...takes the fun out of it
  3. annette uses blindfolds
  4. I use pokertracker and pahud. You can never have too much information.

  5. She uses soulread.com, theforceisstrong.com, raisemercilessly.com, and sickasfuckingshit.com

LOLLOL srsly tho while I'm sure PT3 is semi useful for MTT I believe it is more relivant in cash play. The increasing blinds and changing stack dynamics just changes play so much in a mtt. in a cash game with same blinds and stack sizes usually being the same players stats become a stronger tool. I have PT3 installed and registered but rarley use it anymore.
  7. Refuse to use any poker software of any kind. If I can't use it live, I don't use it here.

On that note....LOL....guilty....I thought the same thing when I read the title.

this doesnt make any sense. why not use every bit of info available to you?

  9. I can calculate odds pretty closely in my head. Using software would help, true, but doesn't help playing live (unless you give me a wireless lappy and let me calculate odds for a couple minutes each hand).

If I can make decisions without the aid of a computer program, then I don't feel it's necessary to use one in the first place.
Just old fashioned I suppose (though I'm not much older than most of you).

Do you even know what Pokertracker and Pahud do?

  11. Well since I don't use any of them Dyz....no I don't know what they do.

I'm just under the notion that while I play online, I keep the condition the same as if I play live. No aids, No stats, No computer generated suggestions.

This is just how I believe I should play/learn the game.

You guys log the volume to make it worth it. You all play in 1 day what I would in 1 month. I wouldn't benefit from software like this. If you guys choose to use it, hey, more power to ya. I just don't think it's worth it for me to get something like that.

That's like an online player arguing that he doesn't try to learn how to read people for live play because "I keep the condition the same as if I play online". I do understand though if your volume and buy-in levels were low enough to make the expense of the program not worth it.

  17. I'd really appreciate info about how such programs help a MTT player. The only thing I use is sharkscope for SnG's( not HUD cause I can't stand having the table covered with numbers). I don't usually do more than 6 tables, and I keep close attention to player's tendencies, and when needed I check OPR or DB ( which I'm subscribed to ).

Maybe I'm missing valuable information, and I don't know about it. I've talked with 3 top ranked players about this matter, and the 3 of them told me they don't use anything, that they make their decision basing on the feeling they have for the table, and that actually made me feel good, because is exactly what I've always done.

  18. I think for SNGs and such its not really something you have to have, its more for the cash game players. I have PT/PAHUD but since I'm mostly a SNG player I don't even use HUD now. PT is just a fancy way for me to track my own play/HHs/results.
  19. Anyone have any feedback on Holdem Manager? I wish thinking of getting that one. Is it easier to setup than pt3? I cant get the trial to work and im lazy and dont want to spend hours getting it setup. I heard HM is just as good....
  20. I have PT3 and stopped using it for several reasons. First off, when i'm multi tabling on just my laptop, the HUD covers up too much of the screen and misclicks can happen. Second, the shit freezes all the time ever since the PS update that changed HH's several weeks ago. Another big reason for me is the serious lack of documentation that PT3 has released. It is all very basic stuff and I feel like if you don't seriously teach yourself or have some prior knowledge of it all, you won't know how to actually use it.

  21. I use PT3 and the PAHUD that comes with it. I am mostly a cash game player. Its definately more then worth the investment. I would have to say its paid for itself many times over.

When you sit at a live table its much easier to keep track of each individuals playing style and tendancies. But you only have 8 or 9 other people to remember. When you are 8+ tabling you have 64 other players you have to keep track of and there is no way anyone can do that.

Does anyone here use Spadeit or table tracker or one of those types of programs? Are they worth the investment?
  22. i dunno bout the online clay aiken but the real clay aiken just admitted publicly that he takes tools up the poop chute
  23. As a poker player and reader of people's tendancies, you should have had that one figured out before clay insta-called the all in.
