  1. How well do you think the best online pro players (or one specific player, if you wish) would do if, say, they played 2,000 small stakes MTTs? Let's say they could only play MTTs ranging from $1 to $10 buyins. Also, assume they would put just as much ambition, concentration, effort, etc. into these tournies as they do in the high stakes tournies they actually play on a regular basis.

What kind of ROI do you think they'd have over this fairly large sample size? Would the highly successful TAG players do much better than the great LAG players?

  2. honestly id think theyd still do well

just play really standard and dont try to outplay the donks too hard or itll backfire

only thing really stopping them is variance (which comes in big numbers from huge fields etc)
  3. I would have liek a 700% roi at least.

ps howd things with the girl turn out lol

  5. Mantis PWNS 1 dollar Deep Stack tourneys on stars. .The good old days of P5's
  6. we get one every once in a while to join Micro Mayhem...and they fail terribly.

  7. Yellowsub played the 3r a bunch of times and destroyed it, FTing twice... I also remember seeing GB2005 in it a few times alone with Shaundeeb. These guys are not the top ranked, but they did pretty well. I agree with showtime's assertion about variance and not trying to play too over the level of the tourney, but I think they would do pretty well if the fact that they wouldn't give a crap about the small amounts for a win weren't involved.
  8. I'd guess u'd see 300% ROI
  9. gboro won a $1 mtt during the april tlb bet, which was stupid cause it paid out fewer dollars than TLB's
  10. Low buy ins are super super easy imo. I got alot of experience with them in the tlb bets I've been in. People are way too loose early and way too tight late as a whole. I'm pretty certain I could have a 2-300 roi in < 10 dollar freezeouts.

  11. they'd crush
  12. Annette won a 4$ 180 playin without looking at cards
i think that tells u what they can do at micros if they would focus
  13. It would probably make us really despressed to see how ridiculously well they would do...

  14. they would crush. i would say its tougher to cash consistently in the micros due to all of the minefields but its also way easier to accumulate and build a final table stack once you get deep.

most people in the low buyins freeze up in the end game cause they don't have experience there.
  15. Well i used to play 1 and 2 dollar tourneys all the time before moving up to 10 or 20s...... Every once in a while i will player a 1-3 dollar now and i am appauled at how horrible the play is. Soooo much easier than bigger buyins. I could easily have a 200% roi at micro stakes and i suck at poker in general.
