Not a good idea.
Technology isn't there yet or at least its super expensive.
Its better than a few years ago. HP has some computers with touch screens built in that are around $1300 up to $2k depending on the configuration, however the resolution isn't great...also I don't find the feature all that useful.
Outside of those I believe touch screens are very expensive.
Its just not possible(yet) to have the dream setup where you can play X tables on a touch screen.
Unless X is 1 and you want to play limit. -
I have a Panasonic Toughbook with a touchscreen and I love it when I'm playing poker. The resolution is more than enough for everything I do on it. When I play on my other comp I sometimes touch the fold/call/raise buttons thinking that I do have my screen and then get fussy when it doesn't work.
I love mine. Any poker comp I have in the future WILL have another touch screen, and I like that fact that I can toss my toughbook around, knock it off the desk, slam it shut after a bad beat, etc. without a worry in the world.
Playing 2-7 triple draw last night was the first time I've ever really put any stress on the screen by poking at it hard (how many 7542's can you be dealt before you're tired of losing to a guy drawing to an 87 with a 3 low), but it doesn't show any ill effects. If you're looking for a poker comp, and you have any temper, you can't beat a toughbook. -
using a mouse is still faster, and touch screen incr the ev of misclicks

Let me reach in my wallet and get some mon......
oh wait....I don't have enough $$ to afford a touch screen that would work with my computer.
Oh well...I guess i'll put up with the mouse..... -
I'm waiting for FTP or PS to put software out for the iPhone, now that they both have mac software. Poker anywhere you go!
-
so...how do you think one of these would work? you can use a mouse or a drawing pen.
