  1. Already posted this on PXF but after seeing Ship's similar situation, I thought I would post in here...

As far as reads go, I know the guy is quite loose to a raise regardless of position. He's looking to get involved in pots so theres a good chance he has a hand like J10 or 89 suited.

    Heres the hand anyway

  2. what are you beating? a heart draw?

    good fold, imo
  3. It was difficult though, the amount of times ive seen people do with with hands like AJ... I would love to know what he did have though.

  4. I don't really like three-betting the flop if you're folding to a shove, since there are some hands he might shove that you are beating.
     2
  5. So you fold under the assumption he hasnt limp/called AJ?

  6. Just call his c/r? I don't see a problem with that since you have position, and there are many scarecards that can come on the turn which will slow him down. I feel if you are going to 3-bet/f then calling is probably a better option. See how he reacts to a turn card, and gauge his strength then.
  7. Thats my weakness, playing the turn... if he has hit something strong, say 2 pair (maybe even a straight) I am gonna be milked as.... meh what you say kinda makes sense actually...

the light bulb switched on mid-sentence.

  9. I'm thinking a limp call with Ad10d could also explain his c/r & push on flop. I can't see the 4bet push with AJ.
  10. Yes, re raising with the intention of folding is bad here, you need to either call his raise, or call his shove.
  11. In which case its not actually worth the risk / reward anyway is it? Heres the hand that crippled me 400 or so before the money... If I win, I am top 30 stack.

  12. and do what when the turn is blank though? - If he bets the turn its hardly going to be minimum so Im gonna end up comitting the chips I raised, If not more after the flop!

  13. Does anyone know how to get vomit out of a keyboard?

Nice shove, zebsta. Guess you were beating...A9...

Don't you love it when they shove OOP when a card comes on the turn that could only have crushed them further?
  14. The absolute 0 play. On Wikipedia if you type in 0 play it should only give a link directly to that hand.
  15. Matt- I think in a wierd way the second hand you posted shows why you made the right desiscion in the first one. Yeah, you lost and busted out of the tournament but you got all your chips in with your oppponent drawing to a gutshot, I doubt had you called in the first hand your opponent would have been limited to only 4 outs.

  16. sorry to bump this but I've just found... the guy who caught the gutshot on the river went on to finish in 26th for 8k... hmmmm
