okay, this guy has been semi active, takin the blinds down here and there... seems fairly capable of a resteal, but still im baffled at what to do.
If i fold i have about 4700 chips and the blinds hits me next 2 hand basically puttin me down to 4k if i dont climb out. If i call im getting 2:1 on my money and win 13k if i win... and i put him on a lower pair or ace x. What to do? -
What you do is throw up in your mouth a little bit.
There's just enough hands that have you dominated to make this really uncomfortable. But I think you're getting the right odds overall, considering his entire possible range, that this is a call from a pure pot odds perspective.
In the 45-mans, I would be less concerned about hanging on to the money than I am in a single-table SNG, because the difference between 6th and 1st is pretty substantial. So I'm more likely to gamble in order to put myself in a position to take it down.
Maybe I'm just talking myself into it and trying to rationalize, but I think I make the call. -
gambol gambol!!

In situations like this where both of the blinds are pretty shortstacked I like a 2.5x raise to save a few chips if you get repopped like here, then most likely fold against a reasonably solid player.

thats not a bad idea quant, ill have to try that next time to make it a little easier to fold. And yes graps i did throw up in my mouth, but i figured gambling here for a big stack would be more beneficial in the long run considering his range. What happened was i called and he flipped qq and i bricked out. Ty for the advice tho guys.
