agreed.. tough spot.. since you said he's a reg.. you should have some hands under your belt with the player.. that being said the situation is player dependent.. if you knows hes a nit.. then prob flat. call dry flop and go from there.. really tough to give feedback in this spot without knowing more information on the player besides that he's a reg.. syk spot tho.. (note: i busted the same way in the same event, same exact scenario.. I got mine in after the turn on a 8493 board:( ) hope your result was different.. glglgl

I did call and proceed, against this player I felt 5 betting here would just get me jammed on by aces, and I don't really want to 5 bet fold here. On the flop I felt I couldn't fold... On the turn when he crams I feel like he could be protecting two black aces... Or perhaps if he has QQ he might have Qd, but I really don't know if a reg would 4 ball QQ pre there.

wow what a situation. i wouldnt put him on aces but i'll put him on pocket 8's with diamond or pocket Jacks with diamond or trip tens with diamond but you put him all in before the flop when he reraised
-
I would be shocked if he shows a single hand that isn't AA here. I don't think he's the least bit worried about you having a flush, think he's just trying to get max value from KK/QQ before the board gets too wet.
-
This is a lot higher stakes then what I play, but I will offer my donk opinion nevertheless.. I like your line up to the turn but I think you have to call.. why the huge overbet? shouldn't he be betting for value? IMO, he is scared of a flush or just trying to push you out.. I dont think JJ or QQ is out of the question with his line esp if he has diamond...

We are 200 bbs deep vs a very good reg, I know I personally have aces in that spot. I would think most regs are not going to 4 bet a random, and I definitely think I am perceived as a random for luls this deep in a 1k. Especially when there are a lot of soft satty players in the field. That being said I dont normally flat kings this deep because I am raising for value -- I expect most pairs to call and fold when they dont flop a set. I also expect hands like some sc call and try to outplay me post-flop oop. I can play this hand much more effectively in a 3 bet pot than a 4 bet pot because ... by the turn I really can't range him on much other than aces. Personally I think he might have had two black aces or something because someone on the table mentioned they folded the A of diamonds. I guess if he ran a bluff on me in this spot kudos... I folded the turn, I just thought this deep with this long levels there would be much cleaner spots to get my money in, in a 1k than this.
