1. OK, so i played this hand yesterday. No solid reads on villain, except he seems decent. hes been playing 24/20 preflop, and hasn't gotten out of line at all postflop. I haven't seen him float at all. Given that, and how the hand played out, whats your action on the river, and why? $100 USD NL Texas Hold'em - Wednesday, June 17, 14:23:49 NZST 2009 Table Table 127450 (No DP) (Real Money) Seat 3 is the button Total number of players : 6 Seat 2: AntonErbse ( $101.50 USD ) Seat 4: DukeStackem ( $361.91 USD ) Seat 6: Steppline ( $60.57 USD ) Seat 3: aMadSeal ( $169.14 USD ) Seat 1: emufart ( $109.98 USD ) Seat 5: olgimak ( $103.75 USD ) olgimak posts small blind [$0.50 USD]. 2. I think he thinks you don’t have an A and his slow played pocket JJ-KK are good. No draws hit, we loose to AT A7 A2 AK TT 77 22, but I don’t see A2 22 or maybe AK calling the flop, I doubt he does not bet AT A7 on the turn but then you did check AQ and I doubt that he does not lead out and value bet the river with any A, TT or 77 after you checked the turn. So we crush JJ-KK. I can call this
3. This is a tough spot. I don't see much you can beat here. Unless he has exactly AJ or AQ you are toast. What bothers me is the Flop call and turn check. I suspect you would have gotten check-raised on the turn, had you not checked behind.

Let's do the math to be sure though. It costs you $52 to see a pot worth $89 which is 1.5:1. You have to be right ~40% of the time for this to be profitable. Now lets put hands in his range that would make sense, because I wouldn't thin he would bluff at this river. This is a value bet, he thinks he has the best hand.

Given a range of AT+, 77, 22, TT. You only have a 24% equity. There is no way you can call.

I think most likely he has a boat here. Good lay down if you folded.
4. I agree with you Tamarick. I think he hardly ever shows up with a bluff here, by far most people would just lead the river if they had made their mind up to bluff. The only bluff i can see him having here, is a hand like 78 which he wanted to play bluff-catcher with, then decided i was making a marginal value bet on the river with like JJ or TJ, and couldn't call a big raise maybe? That said, I don't expect to see it very often at all. His large raise seems to me that hes targeting a call from an ace. So yeah I did lay it down, i didn't want to though lol. sick bluff by me with AQ haha.
