they are very deep so i thin AA is def out of the question

he would 3b JTs for a couple reasons. to both win the pot pre and add a deceptive element to hand with much less standalone value. i really don't think dirtyriver is scared to get 4bet, he'd just fold, he's got heaps.

he might not 3b AA in this spot because that would shut down any action behind him, as opposed to flatting which would open the door for someone to squeeze in position. also we have no idea from OP as to whether or not the UTG raiser has shown any signs of being capable of 4betting light, so why 3b and force out worse hands from which he can extract value? i'm not saying he 100% has AA but to rule it out as a pretty good possibility seems absurd when you look at his line

sounds like im supposed to know him, ty

  5. He has his favorite hand....AJos with the Ah. Its his American Express Hand, he'll play it anyway, anywhere , any time.
  6. Very interesting hand...He is not to deep to flat with AA there PF IMO, especially with an active table. I'm stumped though, like usual. A10 HH looks like a possibility, although I might not be able to be sold on him flatting pre with this hand. Could also have 66 and is bluffing the river A knowing you don't have one and that you don't have a straight either.

  7. why are you betting the river?

Posted on why i bet river on 1st page..badd river bet by me wldve made this hand pretty casual as im calling any bet he makes on the river...also im pretty sure he raising the river with a decent range..low pairs..mid pairs..and other hands...and imo thats a pretty high level play that im not used to seeing alot so i bet the river not expecting that and boom of course hes going to make the optimal play cause he ranked 9th in tha world

Or at least that's what players show up with a good percentage of the time against me in this spot. Looks to me like he leads the flop to take control of the pot, checks the turn for pot control and raises the river when he hit one of his outs. Probably a little too general, but JMO..

Edit: It's also the perfect bluff card so he could be showing up with air here too.. Pretty interesting hand..

Ax and Axhh is unlikely because i don't think he's ever raising ~60% of his stack on the river and expecting to be called by worse.

As played, what could OP have that's any better except for a completely underrepped poorly played hand? I don't think that D1rtyRiv3r thinks OP is very strong at all so the raise on the river could mean a couple things: 1. OP played the hand weak and villain could think a raise takes the pot down a good percentage of the time so his cards don't really matter. 2: Raising a hand like AA, Axhh or Jh10h for value. I really don't know but since everyone is speculating I figured I would too.
  11. Very interesting hand and thread..... :) all i can say is that i had to recheck my hhs that i save to my computer to see what i had so obv could go both ways here. Tough spot i would prob just always fold to me out of position its prob a profitable move.
