What do you do here? I feel like I misplayed this pretty badly because if I call the flop reraise I cant just fold for half pot on the turn with a J. As for my read I havent seen this guy come over the top and be super aggr yet but got to the table after he got his stack -
I hate this fold. 3 bet flop/call shove plz and if he has 22/33/KK/AA then ul for you.
-
What could he have...22 33? I seriously doubt it, im thinking he has a queen with a less kicker.
I would put this guy on KQ by the limp utg then calling a raise in late position. If he had a flush draw I don't think he would be raising you that much out of pos. Either he has kq or some bullshit pp, you have the best hand here I think. If he has QJ which cannn be possible b/c its a 3 rebuy then you made a good fold but i doubt it. -
Raise more pre. And either fold the flop or get it in. With no reads I might just fold....maybe a weak play but if he's limping a worse Q then he is a bad player. But if you have no reads then you either have to guess...is he a good player or a bad one. Most likely a bad one. I still might fold though.
-
why call flop then fold turn? were u hoping to hit an a or q on the turn, seems pretty spewy to me...either fold to the reraise on the flop or ship it in
-
Lots of players will bluff or semi bluff check raise flops and not bet turn. Your thought process would be fine if the villain was betting the turn 100% of the time.

An Ace would probably be the worst turn card in the deck for his hand.
I'm not a huge fan of putting in another raise on the flop because you get 100% of bluff check raises to fold and really only get action from 22, 33, and oddly played aces or something. You will get occasional action from bad players with QJ, KQ making thin flop value check raises (uncommon), but unless an Ace turns (worst card in the deck for your hand) you can get some of the value on the turn or river.
Your turn decision is just based on your judgment as to the frequency your opponent will c/r this flop with QT-KQ (QJ now beats you keep in mind), the frequency your opponent c/r this flop with complete air, the freqency your opponent c/r this flop with heart draws.... and then the frequency he will bet all of these hand combinations on the turn. -
only thing in ur analysis i disagree with scott is that an A would be the worst turn card. Hell the dude could be makin a play with A4 for christ sake its the 3r. The A would also protect him from losing to KQ JQ type hands and also give him outs vs 22/33. I do agree that it would hurt getting action from JQ KQ QT but theres enough in the pot to where im happy to take the hand as is if an A turns. Care to elaborate/correct me?
-
OMG SHOVE ON FLOP AFTER HE RR YOU! he's got 80k lmao he's obv playing a ton of hands and probably sucks there's no wayyyyy you're beat.......you let yourself get into a terrible spot on the turn because QJ is def in his range
