well obviously i made the right decision, but did i lose value? shove turn? obviously any set or AQ is well within his range of hands. i cant help but think i lost 38 dollars or however much i left him with, thoughts?

I think you should re-raise the turn. He check-raised showing strength, so at this point he's probably going to call if you push. Set, top 2 possibly come to mind but with how this played out you probably would have gotten it all. I'm sure you must have hated to see that river...following the turn check-raise it looks like he could have boated up, but I like the call personally...don't just make assumptions...see it for yourself. If he caught it, more power to him.

Am I the only one who is going to question a raise from EP with Q-9 sooooted?

I agree with you Rev but since poker is all situational it is hard to know weather he had just been sitting their a while or raised trying to change his game. What matters is that an early position raise look strong and since it was a raise and not a limp I don't see anything wrong with this. If you start doing this all the time, people will pick up on it and the only way to know that is if he tells us what style he's been playing LAG TAG.

I mix it up. With that said i would most certainly open fold AJ in that position. Yeah i think i agree, i should have gotten it in on the turn. And yes, i switch my styles up quite a bit depending.
