    What to do now?
  2. ah the joys of AJo out of position.
there really arent any draws on the board, so its TP lower kicker(QJ, KJ), 33, 77 or overpair for him. maybe a smaller pair that is holding out hope
It possible he just called with AQ (less likely for AK); but calling that flop bet doesnt fit these hands. I'd put chance of 2pr very low cause board is not connected

ok so you are eith (1) way ahead or (2) crushed. Also the hands that you crush probably wont call a ton of bets, and probably wont bet huge either

So i conclude here i want to play a small pot here.

So to me the choices are a (1) blocking bet (2) check. I'd probably go with a blocking bet and see what he does (1/3 pot?). from my thinking above im folding to a raise, and checking river to a call. This lets him value bet or bluff river (depending on if he has you or not), and either way keeps pot small

I'm interested in others opinions about this line vs check turn call bet/ call river

    thanks for the post

    brian
  3. yes, a blocking bet (but i'd bet a bit more than 1/3 pot, but still below 1/2 pot) folding to raise and going for a river call would probably be my line of play.

i can't really put the guy on something else than a jack and a kicker K, Q or T. maybe maybe a hand like 9Ts.
