  1. Hi. I am thinking about switching from a mouse to a trackball for online poker use. My wrists and index finger are somewhat damaged from too much clicking and mousing. Do many people use a trackball to play poker online? Are there any other alternatives to a mouse or trackball for online poker? I was looking at the Kensington Expert Mouse Optical USB Trackball specifically. Does anyone have any experience with it? Thanks!

  2. i'm using logitech wireless trackball for over a year now, never had any problems and
i got used to it fairly quickly
i might have been able to make bets more precisely and a bit aster with normal mouse
but no pain in my wrists more than makes up for it and i can still play 8 tables no problem just like i did with normal mouse
  3. wireless is the way to go,

ive been tripping over my cord mouse too much
  4. I use a trackball mouse and I really like it. Eliminates the movement of a regular mouse. It is harder to make precise bets but oh well I never have a problem with that anyways...lol. In short I like mine and will probably never go back to a regular style mouse.
  5. I had the same problem, but from using the mouse all day for work and then all evening for poker, so, not strictly a poker usage problem - same deal though. Two suggestions for quick fixes: (1) Switch your left and right mouse buttons. So that you are clicking buttons with your middle finger or your ring finger instead of your index finger. It only takes a an hour to a day (tops) to get used to, and my index finger pain went away within two days. I think I could switch back now and use index again to keep from wearing out my middle finger in the same way. (FYI: Control Panel --> Mouse --> Switch Left and Right buttons (not exact words, but you get idea)). (2) Change your mouse tracking speed. I only have to move my mouse a small amount to go all the way across a 24" monitor. This takes even less time to get used to than switching buttons. (same deal, Control Panel --> Mouse --> yada).Of course, you could go through the trouble of installing the macros that tie all of your table actions to keystrokes, but I'm wayyyy too lazy for that ATM.
