  1. How much do you think the software that people use for sng's would help my game. I'm pretty decent at sng's but still have a lot of improvement. It just hit me that I have heard about them but never took the time to look into it. So can I play fine with out them or should I deff go dl one right now?

    thx guys
  2. Hand history apps like Pokertracker or Holdem Manager are beneficial for sng players in that sngs are all about volume. In order to make decent returns in sngs you have to play lots of tables or play at a very high level (or both). These programs will assist you in making reads without making reads by displaying player stats in a HUD overlaid on the tables. Certainly they're imperfect, but when you're sitting at 5-7BB and know a blind shove needs to be made soon it's nice to know who is tight and most likely to jettison a marginal hand.

A program like SNG Wizard or SNGEGT is gonna be critical to learning ICM. You can do longhand math, but these apps will really speed up the process of identifying profitable and unprofitable end game plays and training yourself by doing the math for you based on opponents call and shove ranges.

depends on your volume. If you play one or two tables at the same time you won't really need them if you pay attention which player is tight/loose/3bets a lot etc. But when you are 6 tabling it's very hard to keep track of the opponent player's stats without a tracker.

I'm using holdem manager and really think it was worth it, it just helps you a lot to put your opponents on hand ranges without having to pay attention to the table.
