My thinking is that I should maybe check/call flop instead, or perhaps just fold to the turn bet.

    wwyd?
  2. check/call turn, check/fold river
     1
  3. check fold anything to Moorman
  4. his flop call really tells you nothing. he has position on you. that ur mistake for entering the pot out of position with a mediocre hand.

most people now-a-days will call flops with nothing or ace high or a pair. so his call really didnt let you figure out anything. I might actually check raise turn. It looks like you must have the jack. If he comes over the top then you can fold. if you check call turn then check river you cant really rep the jack and you really have gained nothing about what he holds

at least im calling turn bet then on river im check/folding depending on what hits and his action

when ur UTG with 77 and you min raise ur just asking to be put in these situations. dont do it and you wont have to worry.
  5. against Moorman I cr ship and he snaps 8's. Given that you're playing against him I think that he's going to float really light and barrel almost all turns you've checked to him. So I think folding to the turn bet is not great, but he's good enough that if you check call the turn your river life is going to be a check call or a puke fold cause he'll bluff twice and value bet his entire range ahead of yours with the same frequency.

I'm a donk so I kind of like bet fold turn, if he turns his hand into a purebluff and raises our turn bet than he's too good to beat . But bet fold chases out 50% of his float hands, any 2 overs, 78s, 2s-ts. but only 50% of these hands he ships the other 50% and gets us to fold...
  6. I really dont like the idea of the open fold pre here - with the stack sizes. Im pretty sure I can/should play this hand given the relitively deep stacks and blinds/antes worth stealing. Minraising is debatable, but it had been my default open and up until moorman being moved to my table had been taking down the blinds more than occasionally.

One thing I forgot to mention is that I did believe the villain was a decent regular, but had no idea it was moorman, although Im not sure that changes things much. Im thinking either i should double barrel, or perhaps c/c flop c/c turn and c/f river. Not really a fan of re-raising at any point in this hand and turning it into a bluff, altho getting much value looks tough.

seriously tho its moorman and i have nfi, any other ideas?
