  1. hey
    dont remeber much about villain
i chose to bet turn since i was drawing
also, by c/c twice he defines his range as pretty weak range, usually not a jack
question is if he folds those on the river, i m however aware the river that pairs the board is pretty bad
    thoughts?

  2. When he c/c twice he defines his range as non-nutted but I wouldnt necessarily say he doesnt have a jack in his range because you have blockers to 99,1010. I'd venture to say a decent % he is likely to have a jack (77 or 8x also seem likely) and shoving this river to me depends heavily on his perception of you and how he defines your flatting range. Also, This really seems like a bad runnout to bluff shove tbh, for obvious reasons. (btw this is on the assumption villain is thinking, ive played w him before Im pretty sure he is)

but Like, if villain perceives you to have a wide flatting range I say you can shove the river, if not than I just give up

Reason: Im pretty sure this villain likes to station and c/c some stuff

  3. I dont really agree that he cannot have a J here... Not really a good spot to sloplay/bluffcatch a hand like QJ or something with his stacksize but it's definately possible and with this board runout i'm not sure you'll get a decent jack to fold this river expecially with the 6 pairing and you basicly only repping a 88 or AJ for value imo. It's all villain dependent though like previous poster said, did he timebank flop/turn, capable of timebanking to induce bluffs? check/snapcall? not that those questions are most important when you decide to 3barrel bluff but they do mean something

    I like the riverbet

  4. I like your aggression. Yes, very read dependent if you know this player. A player can def have a J in this spot, but does this player? He may be pot controlling with a J10 QJ type hand. Middle pairs are in his range. He could have something like 75 suited and is drawing also. I like to quickly look up a players past history to get a sense of their abilities. He has a -37& ROI so I am going to rule out top pair. Someone as donkish as him looks at top pair as gold and would probably raise. I'd say this player has a middle pair and is likely a calling station. He may have just hit trips or may like his 2 pair a lot. I'm guessing he called and showed you 78.

Your play can be very effective against certain opponents. This board texture has good bluffing qualities to it with lots of draws out, but the river wasn't the best to bluff at. If I see a player is pretty skilled I can include top pair in his range for pot control along with any of those draws. An awful player can have any pair on that board and isn't going to let go at that point. Best case scenario is he missed his draw also.

    What happened on the riv?
