Triple Crowns too easy?

    Seems like everyone and there mom is winning one. Sure its a great feat to win any 2 tourneys in a week but, I feel the award should be more prestigious like hitting for the cycle or getting a triple double.

    I recommend making it 3 5 figure score wins in a week! What do you guys think?

    i kind of agree, i mean, it seems like there are almost 3 a week nowadays. it used to b maybe 3 a month.

    althou 3 5 figures on 3 different sites is gonna be a problem
    for example bodog would never count except for the 100k on sundays

    repost... I think the consensus was to keep the current one in place but maybe add one for 4 different tournies (including the possibility of 2 from one site), or to put them in different levels determined by prizepool.. Now if I could just get a 4 figure score again...

    Do away with the multiple site rule and increase the size of tourney needed to count by a lot.

    450-599 plbs Silver Crown

    600+ plbs Gold

    I think a person getting a silver crown should get a dollar.

    A person getting a gold crown should get three dollars.

    Bronze crowns get nothing, losers kinda an embarrassment to the award imho.

    Maybe add some coloured jewels to the symbol for the various categories or the number of times accomplished. It's still a pretty sick accomplishment as it is.

    agree with this. not that i'd ever win one either way, but you are right about the fact that so many people winning them causes the title to lose its luster.

    I've suggested something similar to David a couple of weeks ago. But I think it should be 750 PLBs for an "elite/gold". It's obvious that when I'm close several times to shipping one, it's to easy. And I dont even play at stars.

    meh its still impressive to get one just by the sheer variance factor...i mean think about it, there have been subpar players in the major leagues who have hit for the cycle before

    I think it's really hard to win one as is, fwiw.

    I think I win three tournaments a year.

    edit: I'm not kidding. I won three tournaments in the last year.

    I honestly think there are just more very good players than there used to be so we're seeing people win them more often. It's still a very tough thing to do.

    I think that fwiw it is probably at least as difficult to win several of the tourneys without a five figure score for first place. I mean sadly if you win say the daily 30k at stars, the dime on ub, and the 42k guar on tilt it is much more difficult than beating three other higher stakes 200 entry tournaments.
