  1. I get into trouble with high suited cards preflop. A lot. So I am really putting my preflop play under a magnifying glass. Curious what people think of this play. Yes, I know the buy in is $2.75, but I think it's still relevant poker discussion.

Dragan really just had chips, he got lucky a couple times including a set over set when he turned trip 10's.. Disrad only showed down quality hands and played very solid poker, he's been at my table for a while. Gull just got moved to the table so I have no reads on him. I'll post results, but I was wondering what people thought the optimal play was here preflop. At these stakes, do you just shove it? Appreciate any advice.

    Matt
  2. fold, raise less

  3. If this is AKdd I ship it, since its AJ I fold it.
  4. fold, he is gong to have a higher ace in here and never a lower one. he may have a lower pair but ur just far behind his most likey range of TT+ AQAK
  5. If DISRAD had only shown down quality hands and is playing solid poker, you should know that AJ is mutilated here by his {TT+, AK} or thereabouts, and you should fold.

For what it's worth raising to 150>raising to 200 here.
  6. insta fold, regardless of stakes, but if you feel lucky.....call and ship the flop
  7. Thanks everyone. I knew that was the right play and I did fold it. Glad to know my leak is slowly closing. Obviously, this was posted because the end result made me rethink myself. I appreciate everyone's input:

  8. AJ is a hand that everyone gets into trouble with until they learn how to play it right.
