I lot of things went through my mind when he raise calls and then jams my flop bet!
First there is 12k in the pot plus another 3100 blinds and antes!!!! so the pot is right
at 15K when he ships in his remaining 35K which makes no sense to me at all. No
real draws out there for him to worry about and a pretty dry flop. So can he have a
set here or 2 pair; I really doubt he would take this line with his stack. So is it really
worth it with me being this deep to stack off here! damn AKs has not really been
getting out of line; And this was the 1st time that ive seen this kind of play from him.
Reason: results!!!! -
So if i call and he has an over pair to the board or a set at this point; Is that still considered a cooler!!!!
-
whens the last time a $2 player successfully made a play? imo ur behind because these guys telegraph their hands, but on the spot tough fold thats for sure.

obv there are good $2 players but this doesnt seem like a spot for him to bluff. what do you beat -
If he is thinking, its hard to imagine him shoving a set here on this board since most of your range is overpairs, which he is crushing, and high cards that he is allowing you to easily fold.
If he was trapping you pre with something like KK or AA, why would he not 4bet but then decide to jam so big on the flop, so I don't think his line is consistent with that.
I think hands like QJ, KJ, KQ could be showing up alot here because he figures that the big shove increases his fold equity and he has overs to the board plus the draw. If he is bad he could have AT or something here too.
I think its hard to assign him a range because its just such a weird line, whether he is shoving for value or not, but I don't think you should be folding here. -
i call all day. did you end up calling or folding there? if you called, wut did he turn over?

I would of called in a heart beat. I could have A 10 and and yet he could have and over pair. It really depends on what your willing to risk.
-
Don't lead out with the intent of folding to a shove. Just check fold if your going to take a passive line and save chips... Next time check and hope he leads and c/r his ass and make him an uncomfortable decision for his tourney life... I can't imagine folding but I think you should have had your mind made up before you lead out as to what you were going to do...

RESULTS= First of all i would like to thank all of you guys for replying to my thread!!!! As mentioned above i realize now that i did not have a plan if i c-bet and got shoved on. I am a big advocate of having a plan preflop and postflop and here i had no plan at all. I was so shocked by the shove and being so close to the money; I just didn't understand his play here! My first thought was dam,"He must have hit a set and knows that i will have a hard time folding an overpair this late in the tournament. Another line that i have seen in this same situation is a missed AK or AQ now having overs to the board; And therefore shoving with fold equity and 8 outs with two cards to come. I didn't take him for being a totally bad player, but as mentioned at these levels 80% of the time players are playing thier cards and i am behind most of the time here. TT/99/44/ or the three hands that i fear the most in this spot; As he could have easily raise called with any of these hands pre. AK and AQ would play this way also but i figured AK would jam it pre ect.
My stack was too deep to 3-bet jam here and after seeing the flop; I figured that if he held a hand like QQ/KK/AA it's just a cooler and gg me. Honestly though with no plan going into the hand(BAD) It would have been real shitty but i should have folded in this spot. I know it would have been a puzz play on my part, but i guess it's better to bring a gun to a gun fight! Instead of bringing a knife to a gunfight (choosing a better spot) lick my wounds and have a plan next time. Obv he gave me all the signals and the proper odds to fold my hand; And i hate to be the nail instead of the hammer in any hand LOL. From the outside looking in a guess i made a ok call as it was not horrible from what i am hearing. But from a IN GAME THOUGHT PROCESS-not having a plan if he shoves; I think it was an easy but gross spot to fold!!!!
Please have your way with me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
