turbo fifty50

    Hello all this is from a 52.40$ T fifty50. I have 9 blinds utg 8 handed as we know only 5 get paid ive pretty much sat still so far def did not get out of line at all. Is this a shove or fold here txs in advance and glgl.

    def shove. utg with not even 10bb, you have to be shoving pretty wide. plus its a turbo and id imagine the blinds are probably going up within 2 or 3 mins. decent chance the blinds go up while youre in the blinds or right after, and youd be left with about 1100 chips when the blinds hit 100/200 if you can't pick up a bvb/otb spot or get an actual big enough hand to jam vs an open. any pair should be a pretty easy decision.

    and why didnt i know stars has a turbo 50/50?! guess i need to start playing earlier

    EDIT: Nevermind, didn't realize this was 5050=DoN, assumed it meant like the ftp 50-50. My bad, disregard my post, not gonna pretend to know the icm to don's.

    i might pass since you are getting called and there are 4 of yo hovering around the 1500 mark- with the intent of shoving once it passes the blinds. (Though i've only played the $5 game... and i suppose the $50 is a lot tighter, so maybe you actually get it through )

    I think it's a strategic error though to think of this the same way as a DON though. If you are playing just to cash that would be bad since these pay $$/100 chip and the more chips you get the more you get paid. These are really freezouts with a 50% payout structure IMO. Play em to win em. I'd rather make 4x my buyin at the end then min-cash.

    If yo uhave a good stack, you can abuse the bubble and know that cEV is exactly $EV and every set of blinds stolen is literally money in your pocket.

    This is a pretty simple math question. Calling ranges in a Fifty50 are what -- top 5%? I think 44 is pretty borderline against that range UTG.

    Can't run it the numbers now, but I will later.

    It's close:

    Shove UTG: 15.1%, 55+ A8s+ A5s-A2s ATo+ K9s+ KJo+ QTs+ JTs
    Call UTG+1: 5.9%, 88+ AJs+ AQo+

    Most of the calling ranges are in the 5.?% ranges
