  1. 9-Tabling the $12's on Full Tilt.

Down 42 buyins in my last 113 SNGs <------ puke

Obviously a small sample size, but obviously a massive downswing. This is by far the sickest run of cards that I have ever gone through.

Can a 42 buyin downswing come from bad luck alone? Can somone forget how to play a SNG after being a winning player for 1000's of them? I just don't get it. I have gone through hand histories and am not finding any consistent mistakes, so I just don't know what to do anymore, other than keep grinding and hope for some good luck.
  2. play less tables till u get ur mojo back.

  3. This exact thing happened to me a few months ago. I lost a good portion of my bankroll and it absolutely killed my confidence. Since then, I have played 20$ HU and a mtt here and there and have done well. I think it is just running bad. If you are a winning player, there should be no worries. Good Luck.

  4. im currently facing the same situation and im pissed I went over my HH and im making the right plays just getting smoked im on a 22 buy downswing but still sucks.
  5. id say yes it can come from bad luck alone but to me that is like the borderline of how bad I expect to run, if it keep going down another 10+ buy ins then time to re evaluate your game.

    Sorry to hear =/
  6. obvsly time to move up stakes to make up for bad run

  7. That is what I am afraid of. The 42 buyins just seemed a little much.

  8. 60 is possible if you play long enough...rare, but possible
  9. 42 buyins a the 10 $ level is yucky......best of luck in turning it around
  10. So standard...We've all been there and unfortunately start to think we're doing things wrong- almost no other solution than to keep making correct decisions and playing without emotion...GL it will end eventually.
  11. I'm down $1519 so far in the new stars $12/180s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111

Since misery loves company, thought you'd enjoy that.
  12. when i have a big downswing i switch to another poker site. for whatever reason it always helps.
  13. I use to do that when neteller around man it was easy to move funds
  14. I play mostly $12 turbos on tilt as well, I've played with you before, your not bad. I would play less tables. 4 or 5 is good enough to make decent cash on. The downswings are huge as is the upswings too.
  15. what are you thinking?
youve lost over 100 games of the $12 turbo 180 mans?
after the first 50 bucks i realised this game is just not profitable..
give up.. go back to regular 180 man sngo.

Has anyone OR does anyone know of anyone who has won one of these things twice?
  16. I know a sng player whose game I regard very highly indeed and he is on a larger downswing. These big downswings are very rare for winning players but they will happen - keep at it.
  17. Everytime I read posts from you SNG grinders about how you are running, it makes me so glad I don't play these all the time. I remember I wanted to blow my own brains out after about 700 6.50 turbos over the course of a month.
  18. I went on a 50 buyin downswing after having a 15 percent roi for like 7k sngs. I am no down to 5%, but now I only play cash games. I have made a steady profit since. Maybe try that?
  19. I had an 80 buy-in downswing at the higher stakes games with about a 7-10% ROI so yeah 42 buy-ins can happen. Whether dropping 42 in only 113 SNGs is ridiculously abnormal kind of depends on your ROI. I would just chalk it up to variance though if you're a proven player. Review your play & see if you can find any leaks. Generally downswings are good in the long run because it motivates you to find leaks. It's hard to get too motivated to work on your game when you're crushing.
  20. I missed the part that you already reviewed some HHs. Maybe have another player you think is good review them.
