Finally feel confident in most all situations playin 6 max and HU PLO.....reason im posting is because i had set vs set 5 times today in an hour (playin 4 tables).....had the lower set 4 times and the one time i had the big one i lost to runner runner straight.....amazingly enough i only ended up losing 2 buy ins after my 3 hour sess....which felt like a win to me
Just realized this post is pointless....but i lurk too much anyway -
so play the mftops $50 6 max plo tomorrow...

I feel like I have turned the corner in PLO and them bam I lose 18 out of 20 pots where on average I have like 55% equity. There is such an insane amount of variance in this game, when you are running good you feel like you a crushing the game and have a huge edge and then you start running bad and it feels like you can't win no matter what you do.
-
yea thats exactly how i feel cal.....and today was one of those days....played another sess lost 6 buy ins in under an hour....so sickening
-
ya PLO is funny. put all my money in yesterday as a 94% favorite on the turn and like a 1% chance for a chop, and the pot chopped lol
-
i have a couple friends who play this, mainly 5-10 and just constantly shows me hands that are just brutal. not sure how anybody can grind plo cash and not go completely insane with the wild swings...the swings in nl cash can be tough, dont know how u guys deal with the plo
on a side note, when is p5 going to get a cash game forum? -
the swings can be pretty frustrating.

there is no plo "corner"
the game swings like a monkey on a tree -
Two things:
1) don't overplay bottom set, it's a pretty weak hand
2) you have a pretty big edge when u short stack PLO, why not buy in short to reduce your losses?
