  1. I've never been there before, but my buddy wants to go up there for his bday. I was checking out there website and saw there is the Lodge, Hotel, Inn, and Tower. I wanted to know which was the cheapest as we don't really care much about the room. Also, we would be flying from North Carolina, so I wanted to know which airport we should arrive at. Would there be shuttles or would we have to call a cab? Any info/experiences would be great.
  2. the inn/hotel are cheapest.

    lodge most expensive, tower 2nd.

fly into syracuse. no shuttle to turning stone. call a cab/turning stone limo.
  3. the inn and hotel are NOT the same thing. the inn at turning stone is not connected to the casino and is like a 2 minute car ride/i think they have a shuttle. the Hotel is the best route to go, it's usually the cheapest. The tower is just like a different part of the hotel, but i think they charge a few dollars more per night for it. it's literally only a few dollars more, and a good bet.

also, if yorue going to play poker, as about poker rates. they usually will give you a poker rate of $80/night for the hotel, and i think you only have to play a few hours of cash games, or one of the tournametns.

  4. I went there once for a big tourney. I stayed at the local Days Inn for less than $50. It's about 20 minutes from TS... actually right in between TS and Sylvan Beach which is where you head to if you go bust. Lots of nice bars / restaurants and hot women.

Edit: Sylvan Beach = Lake Oneida
  5. This is all good info, thanks guys. But if I'm not staying at TS (which from what i could tell its pretty much booked anyway). Then will I be better off getting a rental car in Syracuse, instead of paying a taxi to lug me around all weekend?

  6. Plan on being extremely bored because there's not much else to do there besides hang around the casino and golf. Oh and there's no alcohol provided in the casino either.

    Have fun!

  12. I don't recommend TS either. Seneca Niagara is ok and the hotel rooms are stellar most of the time. TS has a pretty good sized poker room on the other hand.

  13. and you can't get served alcohol anywhere in the establishment. that is stupid.

  14. Games are ok. On weekdays usually nothing bigger than a 5/5 500max game runs. On weekends they usually run a 5/10 1kmax game. There really isnt anything to do there except play poker, gamble, golf and food. If you rent a car your not too far from the baseball hall of fame(1 hour drive i think). You can bring alcohol and no one ever gives you a hard time about it as long as your not drinking out of the bottle on the floor.
  15. uhhh everyone who goes there is pre much under 21.... there are a bunch of tards who go and play, some scummy people. The locals are terrible. The games are ok. On the weekends they are pretty good, and the mtts are decent on saturday. THe best time to go obv. is during a poker series.

  16. I always stop at TS when passing through the area exclusively to play the 15-30 limit game.... It is by far one of the best games since you have to go hundreds of miles in any direction to get that kind of game, so people who shouldn't be playing are always there...

Anyway - yeah, lot of under 21 playing 1/2 etc... no alcohol, the stuff other people said. But hey, it's a casino. I'm sure you'll have fun.
