this happened with 10 players left in the saturday 100k on stars, I was sitting in 3rd.
My question is: should I check the turn because of my opponents stack? He is reshipping there with so many hands, which turns my hand in to a bluff.
It is hard to put him on an accurate range after he shows A7o because that is a weird board to flat. I think the only hand that slowplays is KQ.
did i cross the line between being an aggresive big stack and a spewtard? -
sick brick brick
wow interesting hand tho.
i wouldnt put him on A7 there so you could be representing the ace on the turn when you double barrel. when he shoves its purely pot odds question and its really close. part of me wants to check behind on turn for free card, but also i want to keep up the aggression and you have a pretty big chance of taking it down there
i prolly end up playing the same way. prolly doing same thing if ace doesnt come on turn too. you have too many outs and will get folds a lot on the turn.
idk id like to see some input from others on this hand too -
I like the way you played it, pretty sick that there are people who float and get it in with TP gutter to the weak straight on the turn this deep after you double barrel. UL imo.
edit: I don't think you can bet fold the turn, so if you don't want to get it in check behind. I like the bet though. -
flop seems fine. the turn card is also a pretty good card to double barrel, although i feel like some weak pair + draw hands are still forced to get it in with his stack
It's not like you got it in dead; you still had probably 30% equity. definitely can't be spewtard -
think you played it fine...represents the A on the turn...how he is still in the hand is beyond me.
-
The thing is because he shows up with A7o it's nearly impossible to give him a range. Very awkward board to check/call on. The opponent was sitting around 7/10 so maybe that could lead to SOME passiveness.
The only hand I would slowplay there would be KQ.
But many players may float there with AT, A9 or KT.
i would assume he would jam JT, QJ, AJ (if not pre). but who knows.
