  1. You have KsQs in the BB, UTg+1 raises, cutoff calls, you call. Flop comes 9s4h2d, you check, guy bets, and cutoff calls. Whats your action?
  2. unless im reading something wrong that seems like a fairly simple fold.
  3. lol i was thinking the same thing
    1
  4. Yeah, don't know why you'd consider calling in that spot. You have no idea if your K or Q are even live, and you don't have any draws except runner-runners. I've seen so many people doing this lately, though, check-calling out of position only with over cards, sometimes even one over card. I generally play 2/4 limit, and it's weird b/c I swear people used to not do this even at lower limits.

  5. But he's still getting 8 to 1 to see a turn card with overs and backdoors possibilities.
  6. In this situation, fold. Even if you check/call here and hit a K or Q on the turn, you are probably still beat. A raise UTG+1 is pretty strong.

In the future, 3 bet preflop. UTG+1 capping or merely calling gives you a better feel for where you are at. Also, you have a calling cutoff helping to build a pot.
  7. i either 3 bet or fold preflop
    as played i fold flop
  8. If this is 6-max against some retards I may 3 bet this pre. But 3 betting this pre is an awful play from the BB.
  9. typical limit problem= not being able to bet more?
  10. WOW! In 6-max KQs is an automatic reraise.
  11. I have a lot of limit experience. Early in my poker career I would call for 1 more bet with hands like that and continue after the flop (due to odds) when I had overs.

The more I played and observed the more I realized how terrible that can be (nothing is definite, so yes, sometimes you can continue) - but in general, when you hold big card overs out of position against a raiser you are better off getting out of the way. You could hit your hand and be way behind, or even worse, you could pick up a big draw on the turn and still be out of position and have to put more money in.

To sum it up - you will lose money in the blinds over time. Don't contribute to these losses without a big hand, or playing more aggro - re-raise pre and take control, or fold is really the way to go, even if it seems safer to just call and see a flop.
