  1. I came home to find my UB account hacked. I didnt have that much money in there at all maybe 2k tops but this is getting fucking ridiculous. I have no key loggers on my comp so im guessing this guy got my shit through one of pj9s comps when he hacked him. This shit has to stop I for one know im cashing off all my money on the other sites and just say fuck it. This is a joke. The sites better do something collectively to find whoever is behind this and stop it because I for one know a lot of people have lost a desire to play online and risk losing a ton of money because of someone hacking their shit. Congratulations to our government too for making it 100000x more lucrative and desirable for hackers to hack online poker accounts knowing that americans have much larger sums of money on these accounts.

  2. Sorry to hear that man, email support, or if you want I have the direct number to Ultimate Bet Support if you would like that. Let me know.
  3. uh.. UB support number plz
  4. 1 866 605 0311
  5. thanks for the help man. so sick of all this hacking bullshit going on. ridiculous

  6. Yea dude, that sucks. Just give um a call, they should help ya out or somethin. Let us know what they say.
  7. .....aaaaaand that has NOTHING to do with the poker sites themselves. learn to protect YOUR investments by NOT using other peoples' comps maybe?

  8. /thread
  9. Yeah your right it has nothing to do with the sites, they have no obligation to protect the people that keep the site up and running. Using ur logic y dont they just let people get robbed in casinos if they have a large sum of money on them, i mean after all its obv their fault for having that money in the casino. The casino / online site has an obligation to keep their patrons safe whether thats right or wrong. Who wants to play somewhere where people continue to get robber / hacked. UB has had A TON of recent hacking problems and if that continues, if you dont think that is going to effect people from wanting to play on that site ur nuts.

  10. Zuke is right
  11. To be honest zuke, I understand your mad, but it has nothing to do with UB. Peoples accounts have been getting hacked at everysite, its an internet and virus problem, not a UB problem. The only thing i could think they could do, is not let you play if your not on your usual IP address, but that would just be a pain in the ass to people who travel, or play diffrent places. If a keylogger has your info, there is not much you can do. I just don't get what you expect.......
  12. I am not blaming UB that i got hacked. I didnt blame anyone but myself HOWEVER I feel online sites should do something to make the online accounts more secure, thats all i ask. I dont know what to do obv but as of now gettin your hands on TONS of money takes little more then knowning a single 1 word password. You can purchase key loggers for 20 dollars online. I dont have a solution I just feel their has to be someone with some computer knowledge that could do something.

  13. wrong.

at a casino, you BUY CHIPS when you sit down. they have no obligation to make sure that you get your money TO THEM in a safe way or not...as long as you get it to them. they don't recommend that you use a certain bank or send someone to the ATM with you to make sure no one is looking over your shoulder as you type in your pin number.

online, you DEPOSIT and get credits to play with. sites do actually give you options on HOW to deposit, but it is in no way their obligation to hold your hand when you do. if you are looking at porn, downloading files from strangers or internet "friends", or letting actual friends log on to your accounts, then you are putting yourself at risk. this is not the poker site's fault. nothing they did caused you to somehow leak out your information. if you want to be protected from hackers, PROTECT YOURSELF. to begin, you should stop blaming others. then google information on computer protection or something like that. it's not that hard but it might cost you some money (far less than what has been reported as being stolen).

you have the option to cash out at any time. you don't have to keep all of your money online. it's not up to the poker sites to make sure you keep your information safeguarded. they warn you when you deposit/sign up just to protect themselves legally.

  14. ASK YOURSELF:
how did you get such keyloggers on your computer??? not from UB itself.

  15. So you go to a casino purchase 2000 dollars in chips and as u walk away a man walks up to u and robs u. Hey ohh well ur fault. You shoulda put them in a safe right away or never bought them to begin with. The casino doesnt have any obligation to protect you while your money is in the casino... that makes sense thanks for clearing it up

  16. you sir are blind... i never blamed ub. thanks again though

  17. you weren't "in the casino" when you were "robbed" though...were you??? as soon as someone walks out of the casino on to las vegas blvd, its no longer the casino's problem if the person gets mugged. the difference here is that you WEREN'T MUGGED. you were careless with your info and someone took advantage of it. its like letting someone see your pin number, then swiping your atm card and using it to take out cash.

that should make it a little more clear for you since you don't seem to understand.

  18. i never said you did

  19. What zuke is saying is having the sites be more strict. WHen you log in from a differnt IP adress it should ask you a security question or they should send you a email saying you can not log on at this time due to IP adress xxxxxxx not matching your original login. poker factor has this so no one can buy a membership and have 9 buddies use it.
  20. I'm glad to see this discussion going on. What are WE going to do about it?
  21. Its not about where u physically are at the time your robbed. When u put money online into an account you are trusting that the site is going to keep that money secure and safe for you. NOW in this case my shit got hacked (which is my fault) but why is it too much to ask for the site to have better protection against hacking. My point of making this thread was not to say i fucked up but its ubs fault, my point is that online sites should increase securtiy bottom line. I just thought of this idea... What if the sites have a number system that u use as ur password. Now, this number that u use to login in changes everytime you log out of the site. They can then text you ur new number or you can call an autmatic system (after asnwering security questions) and get that number. This way there is no possible way to use a key logger (which seems to be the primary thing used to get passwords) obtaining a password would then be rendered useless

  22. why should the sites babysit the players???

they shouldn't have to be more strict. they state in their terms that you are not to share information with anyone. like it or not, a keylogger is sharing information. it is entirely the user's fault that a keylogger was installed on a computer. if users took the proper precautions to protect themselves and their investments, then keylogging programs would be useless.

    bottom line:
protect yourselves and don't expect someone to do it for you.

  23. because that would cost THEM money!

the system they have in place now works fine as long as you don't somehow leak your information. they already pay money to keep your money secure once on their sites (no one can get your money without your password). whether your PROTECT YOUR PASSWORDS or not is entirely up to YOU, not the sites.

  24. go to bed sir, its obv u have NO money online and much easier for you to make these idiot claims. LIKE I GIVE A SHIT IT COST THEM MONEY TO SECURE THE SITE ....I THINK THEY MAKE ENOUGH BILLIONS OF DOLLARS.

  25. AND.. you know for a fact they keep your money secure.. FUNNY i remember neteller telling me the same thing and yet my money is now frozen in limbo on there. Thats my fault too i guess, they obv are keeping it safe. so safe they wont give it back

  26. kiss my ass sir. you come on here complaining about something that was your own fault and think people will say "awwwwww you poor baby! it's out of your hands. complain that the SITE should protect you from your own stupidity".

well...some people might tell you that.

others (smarter) will tell you that you should invest in your own protection and not rely on sites implementing some random number generator that would text you a secret code that only you would know and that would make it soooooooooooooo much safer.

read that last sentence. doesn't that idea kinda sound absurd to you??? a site sending out tens (possibly hundreds) of thousands of text messages (or whatever you suggested) on a daily or weekly basis so that just in case some people don't know how to protect their info, then the sites could have this secret code for them???

you are the kind of people who the govt speaks of that need "protection from the perils of online poker". you give the rest of us a bad name complaining like this.

  27. i got 100% of my money off netteller before it was frozen. at the first sign of trouble, you should have prepared yourself for the worst.

but...its the site's fault I'M SURE. not yours in the least.

  28. CZuke i agree almost 100% w/ u, and I think socal sounds like a bit of a jackass.

However I dont think the number system would work because players want access to be fast and easy.

I think there should be some kind of say 3 day waiting period for all cash outs. This way if ur being robbed u may still have a chance to stop the transaction. Also for larger cashouts and p2p transfers (like maybe 2k or more) the poker site should have to get some kinda verification from you before they initiate the transfer.
  29. Yeah, i give you a bad name by trying to come up with a way to make online accounts more secure? If we lived in your brilliant world there would be no laws and no reason for the government to protect anyone. I mean shit if you walk in a bad neighborhood its obv ur fault if you get killed. If your a girl and u wear revealing clothes OBV your fault you got raped. No need to protect anyone from anything right? People should just protect themselves and fuck everyone else. I love that logic. Thanks for adding aboslutely jack shit to this thread besides trying to turn it into something its not. As opposed to contributing something to BETTER online poker you would rather just leave shit alone. Because God knows anything to make online poker more secure is pointless and costly to the poooooor sites.

  30. this thread should have never been made...or at least it should have been made differently.

you blame the government for making it more lucrative for hackers...then you say "If we lived in your brilliant world there would be no laws and no reason for the government to protect anyone."

amazing show of consistency there. your comparisons of "live events" are not even close to comparing what happened to you online. you're right... i'm done with this.
